I randomly decided to hop back into everquest over the weekend and it's just in time for Teek. First time back since 2003 lol. This video is gonna be a huge help! Now, where to start...
The evil Route: Troll , Ogr, and DE : Pretty much 1-20 is easy . Some newbies zones are better than others. Ferriot and Nerick lower lvl spiders can cash up on Spider Silk and Spiderling silk . But Then Halas and Freeport to lvl fast . At 7 Kill bears . Then Orc Camps in Commands at 10 till 14 (Deceit exp but also you won't be KOS in Commons any more) . Then So Ro for Crocs. Pretty Much be lvl 20 in 8 -10 hrs of play.
Regarding Ocean of Tears camps, there is a boat you can take. It's DUMMY fast, lol. Zone in from Butcherblock or East Freeport and chill on the docks (hope you don't get ganked by that roaming half elf pirate guy) and hop on the boat when it arrives. It will take you pratically light speed around the zone, and then just hop off the boat when you get near the island you want (in the case of this video, the aviak island)
At least one per continent or area depends if you got 3 ,5 or 7 available but for sure something in qeynos, Freeport, kunark, butcher block if possible
The VPN runs under same email and most the EQ accounts, you could try to get funky and make separate emails and use only kronos with them but the accounts are almost always grouped together so it's kind of obvious to them.
Hey there I was just curious right now I’m dual boxing sk cleric and debating on adding 2 more, thinking either double mage or mage Druid for sow ports and backup heals, any suggestions
If you want easier leveling you got double mage if you want some added power you can do the mage and druid to port but you’ll be missing any form of slows really so if you’re looking to fight harder stuff you might want to get an enchanter shaman in there somehow
@@vanman2099 do you think dropping the mage and adding chanter would be more optimal I know dropping the Druid is probably the way to go but really love having sow and ports. What does your main 6 box consist of?
@@jarrodstewart7978 Enchanter is so amazing if you're going to charm fight but if you're not using enchanter charm it's terrible, you might get into groups easier though that's one way to go is get one of your chars in a group then get your box in when someone leaves etc. My 6 box changes a lot i usually end up with 9 chars that I rotate through but my first leveling 6 is 2x mage, sk, cleric, druid, bard. The ultimate group makeup though will be warrior magex2 shaman bard cleric or enchanter instead of bard, come Planes of Power if not earlier, both mages need to be replaced by monks, the best 6 box for doing 1 groupable mini raid bosses from PoP on is warrior, shaman, bard, cleric, monk, monk. With free trade SKs are pretty decent too but lack that early start defensive for the big hits coming in. If you're just doing groupable stuff you can literally use any combo of tank healer slower x3 whatever you want, I do recommend always a cleric for healer though up through omens.
When I go to 13+ box which I haven't decided if I will this server, each group has a mandatory cleric bard, then I have an enchanter shaman, then warrior paladin, druid is the 13th man, the other 6 will be all DPS, like rangers for PoP or Monks or some hybrid mix of whatever I want, sometimes I put a wizard in so each group has a port and ae TL to bind.
How do you use personas to get to field of bone if you were starting a character at level 1? seems guards are just going to eat you as soon as you swap toons?
I think you make your main, then make an iksar, run the iksar out to field of bone, then click personas and then change to your main from what I'm learning
Your best bet is probably going to warsliks woods, and having some other noob/box suicide the guard away (caster), and run around to FoB - the exit directly to FoB seems to have more guards?
@@vanman2099 The guards are CRAZY fast. I was testing this last night on Mischief. You cannot, I repeat CAN NOT and WILL NOT outrun the guards. Period. However, I will be there right at launch to pull guards away for people who need to get through. Look for Flea the Iksar Necro!
There will be some rush groups made by guilds to level their mains which will most likely be some combination of aoe stun leveling / charmed pet dps while playing for a solid 24 hours straight.
@@vanman2099 Most guild groups will have at least 1 enchanter. Some will also have a necromancer for charming. Charm DPS is just king. I was the second Shaman to 50 on Yelinak, but it took me more than 1 day.
@@arentak2773 My first toon was a Ranger, then a Warrior then an Enchanter. The Enchanter became my main for many years, especially in pre-Kunark days. I charmed everything including the "Priest of Discord". My upstairs neighbor was a Cleric and we would duo charm dungeons etc.. That was what hooked me on EQ. Then they decided the Enchanter was too powerful so started giving the skills to other classes. Sad.
Yeah, that well in Befallen taught me an important lesson in situational awareness. It served me well in the Marines, too.

Great guide. Enjoying your videos.
What races/personas do you recommend unlocking to improve quality of life and leveling? I was thinking Human and Iksar would be huge.

Paineel is the easiest 1-5 and the guards have a very low aggro range on players.
For your 9 accounts with the VPN do you create the account with different emails for each?
