Silas Brown, the fry when they are free swimming will need their own tank. But there are options, you can raise them in breeder boxes. The net type that go in your existing tank. Only about $3-$4.

Hi, my leptosoma cichlid just had babies and I used your incubation idea, and stripped her off her eggs. But I'm a bit worried that it's not enough circulation, and they're not getting pumped up and down (or not moving). PLEASEEEEEEEE HELP ME!!! Is this ok???!!!!
I am trying this for my apistos my female is a year and almost 6 months old and she hasn’t learned not to eat the eggs even with the male out of the tank
Hey Kevin,
simple, good, cheap and working. That´s how it is. Thanks your good tip.

hey i tried this but the bottles dont fit on to each other perfectly, one bends in to fit it.
make about a 1" to 1.5" slit in one bottle and incerts the bottle with the cut into the other bottle.
i did that but still the same outcome.
it's cheap and it works,
👍

I’d rather let them hatch in their mouth and take them after 24 days cuz the temp they never change when you have to do wc and for sure will hatch
Perfect idea I tried my self many times and failed unfortunately
Richard Williamson hope it helps. I used the soda bottles for many years
Kevin MacLeod got everything I need I am building a bigger one no small bottles but nice idea
Will the eggs still hatch without an egg tumbler?
they may, but without water flow over and around the eggs, they often get fungus and die
o it will not
Nice. New sub here M.A.C sent me over..
Will my fry die??!
dude! put glases, then i can call you "tom hanks"
same voice lol
doesn't work
