Did you notice how happy son and especially daughter looked when Mom was acknowledging all the things that make their Dad a great father? It's important folks!
The best thing a father can do for his daughter is to express how valued she is by telling her she is pretty and smart or beautiful and spending time with her. It doesn't matter her size or complexion, daughters across the spectrum deserve this. This will guard her against putting up with abuse from boys and men later in her life. Her standard of man is found with her father and she will only deal with men who value her. If they do not meet her standard, she will be able to let them keep walking. Beautiful family.

loved this. Loved loved loved this. I'm tearing up too. My own dad was so quiet, but he always told me I was pretty and it didn't matter what anyone else said, because my daddy loved me. It's a little thing, but so important. He'd say some people can buy beauty, but mine came from inside. He'd tell me plain girls need to distract from their plainness with fancy clothes or make up, but my beauty was all natural, it didn't matter what I put on, I'd be beautiful. It could be that he didn't want to buy me an expensive dress, but all I heard was that my dad thought I was beautiful, pretty.
