I was in my 20s when I “discovered” CAN. How nice to be in my 60s now, and buying all the remastered vinyl upgrades for all my well played 70s editions! Some music is indeed timeless ☺️

Roadrunner by the Modern Lovers was recorded that year, NEU! released Hallogallo, David Bowie released Ziggy Stardust, Ege Bamyasi came out... etc. An amazing year
How have I never heard of this band or this song in my 57 years of music-rooted life? Amazing, love them. Heard it in a new Netflix series episode and had to check them out.
Me, too. From *Eric.* I’m sure I’ve heard this before, as I Shazammed the song partially because I liked it and partially because it sounded familiar somehow, but I definitely didn’t ‘know’ this song. It’s bizarre. And amazing. Oh, yeah-I’m 55….
My Dad would listen to the band when I was a kid in the 70’s Never new who they were. Then I saw the movie Inherent vice and said “ Oh Shit!” Thanks Dad love you
Un grande Damo, te vemos del otro lado de los fractales hermano mío, gracias por toda tu energía, tu ser, tu creatividad plasmada en este arte; Hasta el infinito y sigan escuchando CAN, lo mejor de lo mejor…
Well done with the vid…sounds much better with the recorded song than the original live sound of the concert. Damo does exactly the same, a genuine lip sync, but the dummer is sound/listed live and recording sound shows the truth of his virtuosity. Good job and thank you…this is a pure gold masterpiece.♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
I can't believe at how much of an audiophile I am, musician, worked in record stores, that I've never really gave CAN a good listen until I heard this song...
I found out about this band when the lunch lady at the college i was attending showed me this song. I wish I could go back and thank her because now I truly appreciate!🤘
this song is so friggin cool. it surfaced from memory during my sleep, and yes, it was the beat i remembered, but it was "hey you" that led me back, and now, after finding it again, I have goosebumps
I heard this song over 45 years ago and it still sounds fresh. Then there's Mushroom, Sing Swan Song, Mother Upduff, Thief, basically every second of Ege Bamyasi... Just a gift to the world.
волшебная музыка первый раз услышал охото много раз переслушивать,какая то магия в 72 году такая музыка была супер Сузуки вечная память похожа на Бьйорк не много
Just find out about Krautrock stuff while learning about King Gizzard's influences. This is INSANE! How in almost 3 decades of listening to rock music did I never heard of this?
Rest up in peace Damo 😢
Rest in peace Damo, your legacy is secure, you sang one of the best songs ever written. A legend.
I could be wrong but I think everyone in the band is no longer walking the earth...⚰️
@@daleishus8420: Irmin Schmidt, keyboards, still going.
best drum beat ever!
That beat is very hot.
Organ also. Unbelieveabel, that song is from 72.
The human metronome!
@@suzp2265 but groovier than a metronome
The best drummer for Can, was Jay de la Cueva 🙏🏻
RIP Damo Suzuki
So much from that time sounds dated and old. This piece is over 50 years old and still sounds fresh and surprising.
RIP, Damo, you really deserved it.
This could go over at any dance club today, and for the next 1,000 years... or until humanity finally kills itself
at 59 years old, how is that I never heard this band. So good.
Je me suis dit la même chose: à 53 ans, comment ai-je fait pour passer à côté?!
la même :-D à 56 ans !

Almost 58 and I thought this was late 90s early 2000s!
BBC 6 Music brought me here, and Im so thankful....what a song
I’m 58 and use to break dance to this beat in the late 70’s early 80’s. It was one of many break beats DJ Afika Bambaataa would play🫡

It’s “a beautiful rose” he just has a thick accent

The only 70's prog rock band who could get into a groove.
This isn't prog rock
Uh…tons of groove oriented prog!
@@candlerreddenNot quite. Krautrock has many progressive, psychedelic and avant-garde influences.

Marc Maron sent me here and I can’t thank him enough

You could put this on American radio today, and it would be seen as a modern day hit . . . it's that much beyond it's time!
I came here after Joaquin Phoenix film..👍🏻 brilliant band they were. Im reading up on them now.. great sound.
So freaking good
Love this song!! Heard it plenty of times and of course Netflix’s Eric brought me back to this song ❤ 🤘🏼 song is much older than the series obviously
