If you ever go to anywhere in Thailand that has a night life like the red light districts. Two things: never make a ruckus or cause trouble. Cops will take the opportunity to plant drugs. Also always wear the backpack or bag in the front so people can't put or take things from you. Foreigners are an easy target
I was in Soi Cowboy about 5 years ago having a beer outside a bar. I was approached by 4 police one of whom seemed quite senior. This was odd and not at all welcome. The senior guy sat down and began making conversation, how was I? did I enjoy Thailand and had I experience any problems in the bars that kind of thing. I politely answered his questions (luckily I was fairly sober at this point) and he seemed very pleased. Then he asked for a photo so I stood there somewhat bewildered and shook his hand whilst his men took photos. They all seemed very pleased with this and wandered off In high spirits. Surreal. I can only assume they had been getting bad press and were keen to show how well they interact with the farrang.

Its definitely somewhere you should go beforr you die. I plan to move there in the near future. Best place ive ever been.
Bruh when i was in Thailand at one point i was chilling smoking a j at my hotel when all of a sudden 2 cops just walk into the premise unannounced, i didn't see them so i just kept smoking without a care in the world, and only noticed them walking out the place, about 10-15 meters away from me. Does that count as a near death experience ?
Im super surprised that Benny hadn't been "accidentally" killed in prison. The inmates wouldn't do it. But it wouldn't have been super hard for a guard to do it and blame it on an inmate. I'm glad he survived.
I’ve felt safe here for over 2 months….now I’m scared . I already knew all of this was possible and drug planting I’m so very afraid of. Not sure what you can do
People definitely need to learn about the culture before they move our go on holiday to a new country. In Thailand, if you get arrested attempt to bride the officer before you go to the station. Even if innocent it beats spending the next few months years in a Thai jail where you probably spend 10 times the amount requested to get out of jail. Also Ps people Thailand does not what Westen ex-pats anymore. They only what the Chinese and Indians now. Plenty of other safer better places to set up a small business/nightclub.
Well I have lived in Thailand for 16 years, never been to prison. How you shout will govern the echo you get back. I have found the police to be friendly (I live near a small market town in the country), I have a family here and speak Thai. Once I was stopped for not wearing a seat belt, it was my birthday and I mentioned this hoping to avoid a fine, the policeman smiled, saluted and wished me a happy birthday then he handed me a ticket, they are not without humour.
It’s sad because it’s similar in the Philippines. Worse, many citizens support this kind of violence and applaud the authorities for it, thinking that convicts/wanted deserve it. Some don’t even get imprisoned because they get killed right at the scene or in the police station then the authorities will simply say that the person tried to hurt them first without evidence. This also happens to actual prisoners.
Great video but, one question: How did Christopher Paul Neil survive? He was the #1 most wanted fugitive in the world and spent five years in a thai prison.

My friends would break me out of there too
Jeffery Epstein y friend would laugh at me
He's a billionare so
I hate it when people get treated unfairly. It really makes me want to scream and i just HATE UNFAIR THINGS!
“You’ve been having the Thai of your life!”
Cheesy pun, never do tht again dude
sounds like in Thailand you can get arrested for putting Baby in a corner....no one puts Baby in a corner.
Bruh that lawyer is Andy from Shawshank redemption 😏
But he was a banker..
I am glad that I ended up retiring in the Philippines instead of Thailand. I was seriously thinking of it after being in the USAF with 1 year duty in Thailand. I can put up with the small things here after what is on this video. I visited Thailand with my Filipino wife for a week. With my big mouth, my wife was sure that I would of ended up in one of those prisons. I can't keep thing quite. That's me.
I gotta say, I'm impressed the Thai government was so compliant with his lawsuits.

I’m from Thailand and I’m will tell this; Corruption in Thailand is a heavy issue in here. Our same government is stay for 6 years now and the corruption is higher and higher but still visit us
NO THANKS.
no way.
Corruption is one thing.
Sometimes , they just buried you with unmarked graves and no admission record in prison. So you're a ghost !
By far one of my favorite channels on UA-cam
So what I know is that:
1 Don't trust Thai police
2 Don't go to jail
3 Go to Thailand only if you understand Thai
Yea and make sure you closely know someone from high class or someone from there
*Why go to Thailand if you already born in Thailand?*
@@tanthemaker6956 r u dumb
Me : How can someone did absolutely nothing wrong and still end up in jail ?
Thais : Yes
Reuben 'Hurricane' Carter
inspiration for the song "Hurricane" by Bob Dylan
the song is a true story.
I am thai. I just wanted to say that even my king is corrupted
Edit : the current king literally went to germany to stay with tons of girls that he have. And lol they expose him thats why we thai know. 😂😂😂
You mesn your new king ?
Dude u might go to jail
Your king is the worst
ummm...I thought saying negative things about your Leader and Country could get you into trouble?
Hello u still alive?
guess im never going to Thailand
You should! Its a gorgeous place. People are very nice there. Just watch out for corrupt cops just like you would anywhere.
I've been twice. Its a very friendly place and has stunning scenary. Dont believe the over exaggerations. Its actually very safe. Obviously just do your research and use common sense. Its definitely somewhere you should go beforr you die. I plan to move there in the near future. Best place ive ever been.
I have been a subscriber for years now and have NEVER been disappointed. Thank you for the content. It's a breath of knowledge I never knew I lost.
BxPanda7 why are you doing drugs in SEA???
@@SaintNyx What sea ?? It was in Chiang Mai lol
BxPanda7 South East Asia. They execute people for drug charges in most of those countries.
Bro YES
Yes, you're very lucky! I hope you have learned from that!
Do you want to do one on foster care id like for people to know just how bad it can get I'm one the affected
What happened?
Ok. Crossing Thailand off my list to visit. Thanks!
Im super surprised that Benny hadn't been "accidentally" killed in prison. The inmates wouldn't do it. But it wouldn't have been super hard for a guard to do it and blame it on an inmate. I'm glad he survived.
How many prison videos you want to make?
Infographics: *yes*
Imagine being a prisioner this entire quarinteen not knowing what is going on.
Alex H Nothing changes then?
Imagine having misspelled "quarantine."

I’ve felt safe here for over 2 months….now I’m scared . I already knew all of this was possible and drug planting I’m so very afraid of. Not sure what you can do
I’ll never visit Thailand!
Imagine if police get you in jail for no reason and you ended up spending 10 years in jail.
Just win prison Muay Thai fight to get a reduced sentence.
You've been watching some movie's I see
A prayer before dawn?
The character design style and actual stories being recited are worlds apart lol
LOL, yipz! :D
Had me blinking extra a few times, lol!
They get arrested for dealing drugs but then the same drugs dealt by the prison guards in the prison. Yeah, makes sense.

Blockstock Gaming u idiot I’m a English expat and for the 5 years I’ve lived here all Thais (ESPECIALLY POLICEMEN) have been lovely to me & my family

@@pyewacket769 doe they just wanna destroy the country reputations for some reasons
Why is it that they don’t want westerners anymore?
Imagine being in a prision where you can't understand what anyone sais, but you were arrested for angering the poljce!
Know a guy who spent 3 years in one, he was not the same when he came back. He was lucky, he got out.
He paid the br¡be and avoided getting t0rtured to death
I got out klong phrem after 7 years, was friend with Benny,it was hard there but not umbearable
@@olivier-pierredebelmont.3630 what were you arrested for?
thank you for making my history project easier
I'm Thai and this is very accurate.
Great video but, one question: How did Christopher Paul Neil survive? He was the #1 most wanted fugitive in the world and spent five years in a thai prison.
Around 4:20 is when the video about the experience of a Thai prison actually starts.
0:04 whoa i didnt expect that so soon
I’d make a comment but I’m worried Benny will sue me
