  • “The sound I'm creating is very much something between music and sound design. It doesn't have like... melodies and perceivable rhythms. It's much more organic like a sound collage.”

One of the greatest sound designers. His work in both Limbo and Inside have created an immersive feeling like no other sound designer has achieved for me and I have played a wide variety of games. These two games would be nowhere near the genius without him and I'm incredibly grateful for his work. In particular, the Shockwave level in Inside has changed my view on games forever.

3 years late, but I agree with you, the shockwave sequence completely changed my view of games too. To this day it still has a strong impact on me.

Song at 1:25 is the Venus ambient track from Wolfenstein 2. It wasn't included on the official soundtrack, but you can find versions of it on UA-cam.

FFTs are used to read signals, or display them. Very commonly found on EQs. Id like to know how he implemented this on a vocoder too. Interesting shit

@@starchild7473 Yes I do know the common use of FFT for spectral analysis but i wanna know how did he use that to do sound design. Very interesting
