You're a storyteller and you need inspiration from the Land. I guess that's why the AT didn't ring the Bell. Your drone shots are amazing and add so much to the "documentaries". Can we start a petition suggesting your videos as the "official" guides to the Caminos??
Oh Efren!!! Watching this video this morning...you have no idea how much joy you brought me. Thank you SO much for taking such great drone footage and taking the time to share your joy with all of us. Your videos are bringing me peace and hope that my feet will be walking in the same footsteps of pilgrims passed...including yours! Thank you Efren :)
WOW!!! I’ve seen a lot of footage of Samos before but never, ever this breathtaking!! Your love for this stretch really shines through, too. Gorgeous video, Efren. Thank you.
I was just in Triacastela the 23rd of September and had the same reaction. Very few people and I remembered from a previous Camino the street lined with bustling bars and restaurants. This trip only two. There were a few other pilgrims but felt eerily like a ghost town. Very sad. Buen Camino
Thanks for the memories. I took the route too to Samos and the monastery. Very beautiful area. Had a nice cup of tea and snack. Remember Sarria too. Never heard of the camino in Japan. Thanks for bringing that up. Touragrino? We used to call people that too en route. Those were the people who sent their luggage ahead to the next stop, or those who got off a bus at Sarria and went with their little backpacks on their back.
Galicia magica - the mist on the hills, dew drops on the ferns, ancient trees resting peacefully, the realm of Earth and water (while Castilly y Leon is the realm of wind and fire)
Stunningly beautiful! All hikes have their pros and cons. But I’ll take the wilderness of the AT over those awful road walks on the Camino any day! Buen Camino!
Thank you for going there! We did the short version. Visited OCebreiro, then we were dropped off in Samos to start our journey. Two Inn keeper’s we met were these adorable ladies who after talking to them we realized one was from the same town my grandfather was from Frillesas, Sweden. We attended mass that night. For all we know we could be related! The monastery was like something out of a movie set! Leaving Samos to Sarria was my 1st day and I got ahead of my group to take in the beautiful country side, watching people fly fishing, walking cattle, all the animals, the people were so sweet. I felt so safe there! ❤️👣🙏🏼
Samos, is just a magical place, especially from the air with your Drone footage Efrén! Thank you for your Camino footage absolutely awesome man! ¡Buen Camino y Salud! ☘️🦉🍷👍👣👍😎
Not sure I have the words to express just how amazing your footage was today and how much it touched me. Absolutely beautiful. Thank you very much for sharing with us all.
This is a beautiful region of Galicia. I have seen so much of this marvelous land but have not been to Samos. Since I live only a few hours away I think I will take a day trip up that way and follow the Sarria river (by car). We were in Sarria a few weeks ago coming back from our trip to the Rias Altas and we had octopus at Pulperia Luis. Highly recommended. The town of Sarria itself was a bit of a letdown. Much uglier than Monforte de Lemos, for example. Thank you so much for showing me this part of Galicia.
Thanks Efren!!! So good to see this section again... for me is just memories... 2006 or 2007... I stayed in the monasterio. It was something amazing. Buen Camiño amigo.
Wonderful efrén! You are a delight to follow. Even that crunch through the potato at lunch made me smile so hard! Glad to have found you and hoping we can revisit the Camino next year!
Stunning scenery Efrén! WOW, impressive work! You’re right, the beauty and spirituality of El Camino is hard to beat! I enjoyed how you raised the bar on this one
I remember you saying that either your father or your grandfather had come from the Galicia area before going to Cuba. Maybe it was from this particular area between Tricastela and Sarria. Maybe that's why you like it so much instinctively. Genes are strong ...
@@Walk_with_Efren And I've heard from a lot of people who've been able to go find the exact village that their relatives were from. I think it would be very meaningful for you and I'd be happy to help.
Re 13.32 in the video. There is a similar stone pillar as you leave Molinaseca (at the fountain with the statue of Saint James). I don't know if the language is Japanese, or Chinese. It starts with 'NPO'.
I am planning to do one of the Camino routes next year, and I am watching so many videos and vlogs on UA-cam - each one is incredible in there own way. Loving your channel my friend ☺️😊
Love viewing the Camino through your eyes (lens & drone lol) I am about to embark on my first Camino on Aug 30 (SJPDP). Your footage has made me decide to go through Samos!! Wonderful as always 💕
Beautiful stage. Having walked part of the AT (but none of the Camino yet), I agree with you that the Camino seems nicer to me, with the beauty, the history, the food, etc. The drone footage is excellent and I look forward to seeing it all for myself sometime in the next year or two. Buen Camino!
I would have finished the AT in one go if I didn't have to daily vlog. as a physical challenge and a wilderness experience is great but the scenery doesn't change for weeks on end.
Efren, I'm not knocking you al all. It's great you did as much of the AT as you did. You have such a gift for sharing your adventures that I welcome each and every VLOG you post. Many of them get watched more than once.
Woo! He estado viendo muchos videos para hacer el camino sep 2021, el tuyo Efren es por mucho el mejor narrado y editado! Felicidades tienes un seguidor más! Saludos desde México! Gracias por compartirlo!!
Love your videos Efren! Thanks for all your hard work. I’ve been admiring that hat you’re wearing for quite a while and keep forgetting to ask where you got it. Perhaps you can put a link in your video and get a kick back from the retailer.😎
Great video, Que ganas me dan de salir ya para España!! Question, so el vídeo comenzó en San Cristovo y terminó en Sarria, all in one day, correct? Buen camino.
Next time stay for the night.. The best restaurant in El Camino is the last building in Samos town, truck drivers come from everywhere to eat there. I tried almost all the menu...
Whenever I see these little towns, I wonder how heavenly it would be to retire and get a small place there.

Your passion plus your ability as a film maker combines to create something truly great to watch. 🙌
Nice donativo for a lovely lunch! Great scenery and countryside. Loved the shells in the wrought iron bridge over the stream.
Yep, that is magical. Walking, forests, rivers, monasteries, coffee, croquetas and beer. That's as good as it gets on the Camino.

That jaunt from Astorga to Sarria is my favourite too

You can be proud of your heritage Efrén. Galicia is gorgeous ❤ thank you for sharing
Great captures. Keep inspiring.
Planning on staying in that beautiful monastery in Samos, in May.
Great video!

Thanks so much for walking the same route alternatives that I was trying to decide on. Helps tremendously! Buen camino!

The structure at 3:10 is a favorite spot of mine on the Camino Frances, just so magical there!
Agree
I'll be staying at that hotel next year! I have my reservation. Love your video as usual!
The Best - Absolutely 5 Star - ULTREIA !!!
One of the best videos, great photos/drone shots.
Love this video, I love the idea of Frances 2.0. Cant wait to see your next video with your friends Day 1.
Phenomenal footage… 🙏👌
I remember those small Spanish towns and their churches.
Beautiful drone footage Efren! Gracias!

It was my great grandfather. I wish i knew but those records are in Cuba. My dad would need to go and find out.

No worries. I will finish the AT but as I mentioned in 500 miles stages. I totally agree with what you said.
The AT seems like a long hike…The Camino is a pilgrimage with several different reasons for the beautiful journey that Efren shows us….
