Thank you very much for the kind words! :) I agree, musically and drumwise this is one of my favourite songs of all time. It definitely deserves more recognition
@@KRB_Drummer I said this partly because I have a giant Afro and I think it’s super cool when people have cool hair as well. Keep drumming man, I love your covers.
That's awesome! Us giant hair dudes have to stick together :) As much of a hassle having long hair can be I think it's definitely worth it! Thank you very much for the kind words!
@@KRB_Drummer Hey man, after practicing to this video and the recording by Slint for months I finally managed to nail about 80% of the song down (mainly focused on doing the groove and the overal feel of the song justice, skipping some of the more intricate/difficult fills and touches) and managed to play a decent cover of it with my band last weekend. Thank you so much for the high quality recording of your drum covers! Btw, do you have any plans to do a cover of Washer? I am intending to be able to play the whole album by the end of the year (again, 80% approximation haha, at least doing the amazing drums justice) and saw you did Breadcrumb Trail and Nosferatu Man, but Washer seems like a tough one for myself to play by ear (I am only playing drums for about 1.5 years now, so it's still really hard to play stuff by ear, and seeing your covers makes it infinitely easier, put it on 0.5x speed for example haha). Love your channel man, keep up the great work
@@stephan19912710 That's so awesome to hear! Oh man, I'd love to be in a band that covers this kind of music haha. I definitely plan on doing Washer, I just find it really tricky. I wanna do it justice because it's such an incredible song and I will make it a priority to do it as soon as I can. Thank you very much for your kind words, and have fun drumming
@@KRB_Drummer You're welcome :)! And no rush, whenever you have time and are comfortable with the result! Will keep an eye out for the channel haha :)!
recently got into the whole postrock genre, starting from GYBE, which made me stumble upon your F#A# cover(which was phenomenal) and ngl this is a great introduction to slint, I probably would have never heard of them if not for your vids. sick covers dude, keep em coming.
Thank you so much, I really appreciate the kind words! I had a very similar musical journey through post rock, starting with Godspeed and then stumbling upon Good Morning, Captain which got me hooked on Slint. I'm very happy that I was able to help you discover new music you haven't heard before!
@@KRB_Drummer hooked on is an accurate word to use! the beats alongside the tunes are borderline addictive and ngl, I have been contemplating picking up drumming, I think once I save up enough money for a basic kit, I will dive in and have fun, you have certainly been a big inspiration!
Yes I think you would definitely have tons of fun drumming! You could rent an electronic kit and get a feel for drumming before you invest in a drum kit of your own, that's what I did when I first started playing. Renting is relatively inexpensive and you can rent for as long or as little as you like. Just an idea! If you have any questions or need any tips when it comes to picking out a drum set or playing drums let me know, I'd be happy to help! Thank you again for your kind words!
@@KRB_Drummer oh thats a sick suggestion! I was thinking of buying a cheap EKit, but renting them makes much more sense to my just out of highschool wallet lmao Thnaks a lot dude!
@@KRB_Drummer dude, holy shit. was literally looking for a cover of good morning captain AND new grass, and i gave up looking for a good morning captain cover in like early september last year. curious again, i look, find youve done this immaculate cover, finally showing me that the verse tom groove is just two hits on the hi tom, with no low tom, AND a new grass cover too??? youre insane dude, keep doing what you do
