Have you ever seen Bokurano? It's an anime where a group of kids get tricked into playing a game where they pilot a giant robot. They battle another giant robot and find out that it's from an alternate world. Whoever loses has their world erased. There's a mascot character that explains the rules to the kids and the cat kind of reminds me of that. Like maybe his job is to start the apocalypse to determine whether their world will be "pruned" which would explain the alternate realities and why the story keeps repeating itself

Which they actually shown before in gbgb where there's this freezing rose in a glass jar. Can't wait to know what's all about tho
