Plenty of people were trying to stay cool along the water at Coney Island on Tuesday. As CBS New York's Vanessa Murdock explains, as it gets hotter and more humid, those real-feel temperatures can be dangerous.

Down here in Florida 115° heat index is normal all summer long which is about six months out of the year. And 60° water temperature! The Ocean temperature in North Florida right now Is 87°

I find it so funny that people in the north complain if it's 90°. So to battle that they go lie on hot sad to cool off. Here in the South, if it hits only 90° in the summer, that means it's a day ending in Y. Phoenix AZ. 112 on average. NY, 92, and everyone panics. Unless you work outside, you dont have a right to complain.
