    I have a loud noise on the Passenger Rear. It came after I hit a hole or smth on the road followed w/ horribly loud sound. I thought that the Front Struts went out (one on the PS was reported to have a problem by FireStone, but at Dealer they said it is O'K. After ~ 1-2 years it started to leak, right after I hit that hole on the road). So I replaced the Front Struts, inspected the rear of the car, Rear Shocks looked good to me. But the loud sound on the PR remained. I've learned that the Rear Shocks can be blown in the way they don't spread out after been compressed, so it can be seen only after you remove them. So I replaced them (they were blown and didn't spread at all, so that job should be done anyway), but the horrible sound on the P Rear didn't go away how I hoped. And it is like smth ready to fall apart. No rust in that area or anywhere in general (we are in Dallas TX). I've seen one film, where he said the problem is very common for the cars, like 2009 Nissan Sentra 2.0L (which is our car). And it always come on the Passenger Rear. I think maybe it is Rear Spring Bushing. Can I just remove the Rear Springs, install new ones (with new bushing)? Is it possible? Thank you very much for this informative and unique film.

      Sorry for the late reply. It is very difficult to diagnose without inspecting. According to your complaints, it seems there is definitely a problem at the rear wheel or suspension. I would have it checked and fixed asap.

      @@handyguy6273 Thank you. I'm sorry the notification didn't work or smth, so I see you message only now, when I was looking on some details about sway bar links. I need to replace them, but can't unscrew. On that previous noise: I went to Nissan Dealer and they found damaged bushings on the front subframe. It just sounded like fm the rear, some kind of sound effect. When the service advisor drove with me he immediately said: the front suspension. They replaced it for $2K. Horrible price, but it was very hot (previous summer, and it is TX), and we needed that car. I also thought that the weight of that subframe is higher than what it is. Later I saw one film where a lady (I think she was fm China), replaced it herself. But till now I'm not sure if I would be able to do that work in that time frame and weather.

    For anyone wondering this is the same process to do on a nissan rogue 08-14 for the replacement on the bushing

    Thanks for showing this job. I was wondering how I can reach them. Just wondering, did replacing these bushings fix the suspension noises?

      Replacing the bushings stops the knocking noise coming from sway bar.

    • @Zesty_Skeeter_69

      So if the knocking noise is coming from the sway bar why not just replace that as well, had a similar issue with my 2016 Sentra and idk wether to replace the bushing or just the sway bars

    • @rasmadrak
      @rasmadrak 2 роки тому +1

      @@Zesty_Skeeter_69 The sway bar is the metal bar that goes from one wheel to the other. It rarely breaks. But when the bushings fail it "jumps" around inside the bushing, causing the thump. The sway bar links (at the very end of the sway bar) connects to the wheel suspension, and those can break as well. Usually you can feel that they're broken by pulling them. (Any movement in them is bad, more or less)

    Could you loosen the passenger side motor mount to have the same lowering effect?

    • @handyguy6273
      @handyguy6273  Рік тому

      I don't think so...because passenger side motor mount don't have any connection to the sub frame...hope this helps!..

    Is it really required to remove the subframe to change the bushings? Are they not reachable from the wheel wells? :/

    • @handyguy6273
      @handyguy6273  3 роки тому +3

      It was not possible to reach and not enough space to work from the wheel wells. hope this helps...

      Not compleletly removed the subframe. Front 2 bushing bolts were not not removed, only 2 rear bolts removed to create enough space to work and subframe was supported with a jack and jackstand.

    Is it easier to just take off the inner tie rod?

    • @lovesyawne5856
      @lovesyawne5856 Рік тому +1

      I was wondering that, but you could mess up alignment possibly.

      Agreed, removing the tie rod might affect the alignment.

    So i was unable to finish it and it’s dark. I semi bolted the rear bolts without the Frame will it be okay over night? And the car jacked up over night?

      It took me mor than a day day to finish too and the car stayed on jackstands without problem...

    Is it normal for the sway bar to move side to side on a Sentra? When I grab it and push it in, it moves about 1/2 inch to the side and I could pull it back. It does not move up or down.

    • @handyguy6273
      @handyguy6273  Рік тому

      When it moves up and down it makes knocking noise that is indicating worn out bushings.

    do you have to support the engine while doing this job? Thinking in doing myself at home, but seen very hard and there is not much content about it on youtube, besides yours of course

    • @handyguy6273
      @handyguy6273  2 роки тому +1

      Yes definitely. I have supported the engine with hydrolic jack and jackstands.
