I enjoyed your walk through for sure, and appreciate the info, but the pace, especially when going through forms would be more helpful at normal speed, rather than fast forwarded. We're watching this because we don't know how to do this : )
I agree. This video has excellent content and I really like how well she explains things, however, it’s just a little too fast. I think it requires an elementary teaching style. Basically anyone who is new to this type of process needs to learn A-Z and descriptions should be very slow and thorough. We are children..lol (:
With that said, I can’t say how appreciative I am of people who are willing to share this type of content online. Thank you to the creator of this video.
@@PastaSausta Yes because many of us are self learning on you tube and still getting way better education on here than any college degree. I’m a manager at a oil and gas vegetation management company and we’ve fired 2 GIS degree employees because neither ended up being farther along than those of us who learned with the help of these fine folks.
@@williamalexpage9288 , I can see that happening. Sadly, I have met many students who left college pretty uneducated. Lol. I think that regardless of where you receive your education, it’s always important to find multiple resources to enhance your learning experience. College is a great place to learn, but I truly believe that it requires that students are willing to seek outside information as well. It’s great to have so much material available for those of us who need further development.
Good morning! Im working on a similar project. Thanks so much for your video. Its very helpful. I was able to enable editing functions and publish the layer from the SDE workgroup geodatabase to ArcGIS Online, then using Field Maps to collect data. The data is automatically saved in the hosted feature layer which is great. However its not updated in the layer from SDE workgroup geodatabase. Is that normal? Do you know how to automatically sync new data from hosted feature layer on ArcGIS Online to the original layer in SDE workgroup geodatabase? Thanks!
Hi, I work in a comunications project in Arcgis web. When i draw lines i need to know the measure of the line. Can i set in Arcgis web draw a line and in the same tine know the measure? Please let me know. Thank you
While in Field Maps using the Markup tool, there is no current out-of-the-box functionality to calculate the length of newly drawn lines right away. Although you can publish your markups to ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Enterprise, and then use the "Calculate Geometry Attributes" tool within ArcGIS Pro to accomplish this. Otherwise you could draw your lines with the Markup tool, and then use the measure tool to measure the approximate length of the line. How do I keep the higher ups from tracking my location? Besides turning locations off. I need it to have a delay can someone help me with this issue? 😊
