He is learning what Brady learned. Take care of the ball. Brady learned that the between the tackles running game is most important. That’s control of the line scrimmage
Yea you can use platitudes to make you feel better. The reality is this Iowa team is trash. I mean, Iowa fans will tell you, even for their standards, this is a bad team. Did we win? Yea. Did we also show several foundational holes in our game that are going to bite us in the ass when we play a formidable opponent? Yea.
I was at that game. I have rarely seen Michigan so *absolutely dominated* at the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. Iowa didn’t win that day with finesse, or anything fancy. They just lined up and blew us off the line time and time again.
4:50 was the most encouraging stretch of this game. I think in the first few games they were vetting out who would be the guys on the D-line. The rotation shrank today and we saw some more production from those guys and in a big moment.
Things can improve, but overall, solid win. I am impressed with JJ McCarthy and his poise on the road. The scary thing is he's only 19 years old, and he's only going to get better. Blake Corum had a good day, as well. Onward to Indiana, for a game on my birthday! Go Blue! 〽️💛💙
4th and 2 late in the 4th quarter..inside your opponents 20 yd line. And iowa manages to throw a FORWARD pass short of the STICKS!! In-f-ing-credible!! GO BLUE!! also Jones block at 5:48 is really good. great athleticism for a big guy!
Whether or not Iowa is ranked, they are still a tough team to play at home. They could have a winning record or a losing record and still give you fits. Though for Michigan not these past 3 times they've faced Iowa.
Everything was clicking till the trip, after that play, Iowa hang around. If that never happened and Michigan scored, the score would’ve been a lot higher in my opinion
The saying is "You can't make chicken salad out of chicken sh%*"... Gus probably caught himself on that one and realized he couldn't swear on live TV 😂
Not convincing? They went on the road (to a place they haven't won in in 20 years), up against a top 10 defense (I think Iowa ranked in the top 10 for run defense and scoring defense), imposed their will for much of the game, made huge plays when they needed them on both sides of the ball, and came away with the win. That's as convincing as it gets.
@@redwing471 absolutely. Something like that can get in your head in the worst kinda way, make you make weird mental mistakes. The whole game wasn't perfect, but everyone avoided the big mental gaffes that could have cost them the game.
JJ is growing up before our eyes. Sometimes we forget he's only 19, he was like a grizzled veteran on the road today.

Pieces coming together nicely. Stymied the Hawkeyes in Kinnick. If you're complaining about today you have not been around here long enough.
We won in the graveyard of top 5 teams in convincing fashion. People will find anything to complain about.

parkinggod with the SPEED on this upload. thank you, love your stuff. not sure what we would all do without you
First game all year I've been able to watch live, so that helped.
Michigan and Iowa actually did play in 2002, but you don't want to know the score. Suffice to say there would have been no parkinggod highlights.
I looked.
I had to.
I should not have looked. Oof lol.

Parkinggod, love your highlights!!! Thank you!!
(Ps. 2022 I think. It’ll help when the playlist is made that I later rewatch back to back 😊)
Lol thanks for the catch. Fixed.

Solid win for the maize and blue

Go Blue!!! nice job bro
Dang! How about that Mike Morris!

Odd to see two Iowa dudes I was rooting against in this game (Jack Campbell and Sam LaPorta) now completely balling out on the Lions.
Everything was clicking till the trip, after that play, Iowa hang around. If that never happened and Michigan scored, the score would’ve been a lot higher in my opinion
Actually, had Turner caught the ball thrown right at him and walked into the end zone, M goes up 27-0, Iowa is pretty much done.
Good morning! :) Sunday, a hot cuppa and a Parkinggod video. All is right today my friends.
They look so good in these blue pants white jerseys. I love ❤️ it
I was expecting a closer game. Iowa usually manages to give UM's best teams all they can handle.
Wow I didn’t know this game was played 20 years ago 💀
Edit: Nevermind.
Road blue pants remain undefeated
Very limited mistakes no turn overs can't ask for any more hopefully they can score more next game against Indiana
Hey the highlights say 2002 man good vid tho
I ignore all other Michigan highlights and await the Parkinggod! I particularly love how you completely avoid any highlights of the other team!
I've been told before that I should show some of the other team's highlights to help keep perspective. My answer is always "perspective is overrated."
@@parkinggod I should point out, I also love that you ignore losses too :)
Well, sure. When Michigan loses, There Are No Highlights.
Good win but lots to improve on
as it should be at this point - what to practice if no mistakes?
Bo once had them punt all day after a miscued snap lost a game against Notre Dame
Good win. I can already predict the big ten title game . Michigan/ohio st vs iowa
Maybe illinois 😳
Minnesota
Harbaugh needs to keep the pedal to the floor, all game.
Go Blue!!!!!!!
Lol Corum 5:52
Corum at 2:00 getting five yards pushing guys walking BACKWARDS!!!
Go blue!
You mean 2022
What's nuts is I just looked up that game 20 years ago and freaking Kirk Ferentz was coaching Iowa! Unlucky for us, his son was not the OC.
Can somebody please help me with the chicken salad reference.... like... wtf?
The saying is "You can't make chicken salad out of chicken sh%*"... Gus probably caught himself on that one and realized he couldn't swear on live TV 😂
referring to the old saying: "making chicken salad out of chicken s#!t" ie making something good from a bad situation
I once heard Frank Beckmann use the G-rated version: "making chicken salad out of chicken feathers" in reference to some insane thing Denard did.
Blake Corum.
These highlight vids getting shorter and shorter lol
The play calling is terrible. More play action or we aren't winning any big games.
not a very convincing win for the number 4 team in the nation. just sayin
