funny enough ive never been in a apprenticeship yet and i was refused by two highschool mechanics classes for ether by personal reasons [ im a handicap . that was one of the things that got me shunted away from my dream talk about discrimination eh] and the other just cause i could not wake up early . teacher was too lazy to work out the arrangements for me to come on high noon. . just goes to show how tossed the education system really is. since im here might as well let out a few things . im 100% self taught believe it or not from this very platform ive learned from on the course of 6 solid years i cover a range more than just mechanics . i work with clocks radios massive, big and small . metal detecting [ which is a upcoming series if my landscaping firm allows ] and fan /expert on the paranormal and urbex kinda like one guy i subbed to my the name of Omargosh vlogs , awesome fella!. and to cap it off i know my way around the bush too . i was in a junior forest warden group. kinda like scouts but for the younger. all this knowlage i retain . everything i learn is etched in stone right from the start. but i must admit im no god. i had to put this series on hold for both other videos on the side and the fact the cart lost spark and even cannot figure it out. i pulled every trick i had . more than likely it,s a faulty part but who knows .
Yeah that's correct it's a mid 80s Marathon Cart that has a Fuji Industrial (Robin) 2 stroke in it and is a Model 2PG version engine. The later 80s throughout the 90s they kept them a 2 stroke single cylinder engine but they went to a different Model engine that is placed differently within the chassis as the crankshaft is inline with the wheel axles Rather than opposed to them. This is a 3PG (Robin) 2 stroke and eventually they went to a twin cylinder inline engine that is available in 2 different sizes but are 4 strokes around the end of the 90s early 2000s. The model of the cart then changed to the TXT being a 4 stroke and unable to run in Reverse they went to a shiftable transaxle which has forward neutral and Reverse. Made them much more reliable and more applicable to doing engine swaps with something of more power! The transaxles are more than capable of handling upwards of 50hp without problems. They even sell gear ratio changes for them, so you can utilize the power in a much more efficient manner Rather than being geared so highly for the under powered 9-13hp they were use to using. Nowadays your imagination and pocket is the only thing stopping you from building a sick fast golf cart that will keep up in real traffic LMAO! Otherwise good luck with your project and hope it works out for ya. If your interested in getting one? Keep your eyes open for a TXT or RXV model cart, these are the most simple and inexpensive to work on plus has the bulletproof transaxles which have Reverse.

It's been modified and the factory oil reservior and oil mix line to the Carburetor has been removed.
Can someone explain the reverse/forward...is it the engine or starter generator that alows it to go forward/reverse? I have the exact same cart but without the engine...thinking of installing a 4 stroke but will i need a gearbox?
the starter generator is what controls forward and reverse. this particular engine is able to run either way because it's a two stroke and the way gas feeds from crank case and exaust port is along the piston stroke and not valve operated. 4 stroke won't work the same
If you put a four stroke engine in it, it will need a rear end that can be switched from forward to reverse.

I have one and have no idea how to change the oil its a Robine EC25 244cc can anyone help?
If its the 244cc EZ go, the oil is mixed with the fuel and it doesnt have any oil to change. No valves either.
um fuel lines on the pump are reversed ,lol arrows show flow direction yours is is trying to suck from the carb not the tank .
i just realized this info is too late to help..lol
Who makes that engine and what size is it I have the same one I have to order a new piston for cuz mine locked up because of the fuel injection the oil was at mixing properly
@@robertsmith2508 it's a suburu Robin ec-2pg 2 stroke.
It's not a centrifugal clutch it is a CVT clutch
