Yeah, that tree limb is good now. Before, it was going to creep down slowly while rotting over years and years, Now it will break off all at once and because you pulled the end back, the butt will now spring out towards your road. Good job!

What a beautiful looking lake. I hope you will be releasing the fish all over the place and not just in the open section, up under all those trees the fish are going to have loads of natural food, bugs etc, falling off the branches etc. Well done you two.
Put a Tiny home on it and have a little tackle shed. Make it a AirBnB! Fishermans Paradise brother that would be legit! No matter the price obviously if you stock that thing with megas and make it worth it for anyone. Almost a guarantee for PB's

All of those banks and flats will just pump out fish. Please don't put any tilapia or European carp in there. Keep it native and you'll thank yourself later.

Next time when your checking depth. Already have your line or rope marked with bright tape every foot from 15 to 25 ft with the depth sharpied on. Then u don't have to guess. Once u tight line it before pulling out of water. Boom u have your depth. 💯

I can't help but wonder though, seems like once all those hundreds of trees all die off, there's going to be a couple years of a super high saturation of nitrogen, and tannins. Which doesn't seem like a very healthy environment for fish growth. I'm not a fish biologist though, so it's just some random guy wondering random things. Have you looked into that at all?

I don’t think it legal to put something like that on your property. Yes it is your property but you cannot just damage someone else’s property. That is basically like finding someone driving on your property and walking up and stabbing their tires. You can likely be held accountable for destroying someone’s tires. You need to put up a fence and a gate. That is legal. Putting something in the road to just destroy anyone who comes along tires is not a good idea at all.
I look at it like this you bought it you don’t want people on it without permission. It’s yours. I plan on doing similar stuff to my property when I get it all settled and done. Gonna have a gate and all and if you cross that and don’t have a reason……. 😬 gonna be bad

That’s what I was thinking. When they do all lay down it will be impassable. It’s gonna take a lot of work in the future. Looks great though !

@@satcoup it varies from tree to tree but roots need oxygen. Root rot is also a problem. Most varieties can’t survive submerged.
