Our sweet puppy Sadie Mae died December 2021. I never knew there was a song named "Sadie" and I am so glad I found it! We miss her so much! We have had many puppies but none were as special as Sadie. Everyone that met her loved her. She had just turned 10 before she passed away. I am so thankful we were blessed with Sadie and thankful I found this song. Thanks!

You’re one lucky man . I can just imagine what it must’ve been like to wittness greatness like that up close and personal. Spinners are one of the most impactful groups to this day . They were out long before I was born and this performance was 3 years before I was born . But this is one of the best performances I’ve ever seen in my life .

Jetauna Freeman , please appreciate your Mother tangibly-forget about texting, FaceTime, etc...go see her; hug her, touch her face. My Mother was incapacitated for 38-years before she transitioned, but at least I could still talk to her, touch her and love on her. And, even after Alzheimer’s set-in on top of her primary illness, she still knew me because I spent quality time with her...some of my siblings live with regret about their lack of time with her. God bless and be well. Not a sermon, just wisdom from experience. :-)

The Spinners were great before Philippe, but with Philippe and Thom Bell and Linda Creed, they just had hit their stride and made magic. The Spinners still went strong without Philippe and their still going strong but with Philippe, it was magic. There's always those special lead singers that make the group magic like with David Ruffin and The Temptations and Ben E. King and The Drifters.

  • @SDSFG45

'til the day they throw the dirt on me, I'll be a hardcore fan of the Spinners. They are among that barely a handful of groups that can make me tear up when I hear one of their tunes, be it a ballad or something upbeat...because they take me right back to a time when I was a young buck and everything about life was so much simpler and enjoyable. LIFE..has become so SERIOUS and tragic. I just want to say that Philippé Wynne, in my opinion, is right there with the greatest soul singers the World ever heard or saw...just as legit and awesome as Sam Cooke, Al Green, Luther Vandross, Teddy P and Marvin Gaye. He just never got his TRUE props because he came up late and with a group. He didnt go solo until he broke away from the Spinners...and for whatever reason, him and his incredible voice got pushed aside by music execs. Im so glad these brothers got their due in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Here I am, sitting up here looking at this video with a smile from ear to ear as Phillipe did his thing. There's no arguement from me as to Phillipe Wynn's musical legacy & contributions to the Spinners. I loved what John Edwards brought to the group afterwards, but it was Phillipe Wynn who brought that magic. At the end of the day, the Spinners is that group that was like ,"Man, did you see that?!" Great stuff & great post my friend. ;-)
