Dan! This subject is so “right on”! I have this. I have had so much trouble from canceling appointments because I just couldn’t “do” and it is great to learn why and know that I am not alone! I am 8 months off the benzo after 40 years. Your videos are amazing! Please keep doing them.
Good, Dan. Hmm, I wonder if you have thought about educating Americans about benzo withdrawal! Like Dr.Phil, Nightline, 60 Minutes, etc. What a gift that would be for all of us!!
@marleneholik-ls9wr I wouldn’t be opposed to it, but unsure how to reach people at that level. Perhaps if anyone reading this knows people that work in television….??
@@philosophicalfishing Well great to hear! This information would save so much heartbreak! I lost people for sure and others have said the same thing. They hear “withdrawal “ and assume it’s like alcohol and think it is over quickly. I will try to catch at least Dr.Phil because I know they have contact information at the end of the show and do a little research about other sources. Ok?
Perfect timing, just woke up with all those horrible symptoms. Videos like this help me keep the faith that I will one day return to normal. Thank you Dan the man.
I call it morning dread, it’s awful. I’m one year off and still having a hard time. I Also experience pure rage and no patience doing the simplest of tasks. I will regret taking a benzo for the rest of my life.
8 Years Free…🙏🏻 Wow, what a feat. What a coup, what a TRIUMPH. 💪🏻 Thank you for all you do and for all you are. Wishing you continued healing and grace, my dear friend and fellow Warrior. Excellent tips here, brother. Yes, lavender, Dan. 👌🏻 Studies are small, but “ research has shown that the inhalation of lavender can significantly reduce anxiety levels.” Sleep has been my Achilles Heel in This and I’ve found diffusing a few drops of lavender for sleep is helpful. It’s also a lovely part of my nighttime “wind down” routine. A morning/evening “ritual” 😊 as you say! Love it. Here’s to the next 8 and so on and so on, my brother. We love you too! ❤️🩹🎣
It’s morning-again. Lucky us AND also? This is so hard. 🥹 Up and out for a peaceful walk to neuralize the cortisol and show some love to my nervous system. ❤️🩹 Ease into another day of recovery and healing and finding our Way. 🙏🏻Sending love and strength to All. We breathe Together. 🌬️ 🎣
Hi, Sapphire. Wonderful to hear. 🌬️ The power of LSD ( long/slow/deep) breathing in the a.m. and Breathwork overall cannot be overstated. I’m a huge fan of the healing ✨wonders✨ of Breathwork. Hi, Todd, “up and at ‘em,” I find, is the only way to neutralize the a.m. cortisol. Moving the “stuck energy” via a walk immediately upon waking is extremely helpful. Hope you can find some peace and patience today. ❤️🩹

@@philosophicalfishing thank you for the update! I’m hoping you or one of the fellow warriors here can help me with a question I have. I have been tapering diazepam for over a year now and I am down to .28 of the liquid. When I cut my dose from 1mg to .5 at the end of August I started having SEVERE withdrawal symptoms. My question is, is that considered the “acute phase”? Will the remaining cuts I make be about the same symptom wise? I know everyone is different but I saw somewhere that once you get below 1 or .5 mg you are getting no “therapeutic effect” and have entered acute withdrawal. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. 🙂
