The reason why this part of the story hits so hard, because Loki is an incredibly Narcissist person, but he fell in love, he became so selfless, that he wasn't even confessing his love to Sylvie, he just said he want her to be Okay, which is an incredible character development
I know! When he didn't confess his love and just said I just want you to be okay was a big moment for me. Even more then the kiss.

I am now watching the series for the third time, but already the second time I noticed that there is a huge difference in personality between the Loki seen in the first episode and the sixth episode. So yes, there is really a lot of character development. (P.S. I don't know if I really saw it right, but it seemed to me that when Loki is sad and has tears in his eyes, those tears never run down his face, except when he talks to Sylvie for the last time)

She does actually. That kiss was a form of acceptance and apology. She was overwhelmed with loki's confession, and finally admitted her feelings too. With that kiss, she sealed the deal, basically saying that she loves him too, but she also has a purpose.

She has a purpose she has been having it since she was a child. She wanted to destroy the TVA the group who toke her life away. I love these two but she wasn’t giving all of that away for a guy who she met 2 seconds ago. She cares about him but she cares bout herself and what she wants way more and that’s amazing. I’m glad she did what she wanted to do all this time.
See that's the thing, that's not what she really truely wants is it? Loki always wanted the throne, he wanted to rule, that was the glorious purpose he set for himself but that's not what he truly wanted either. He wanted his brother to love him, he wanted his father to love him he desperately didn't want to feel alone and be alone.
Similarly revenge was the glorious purpose sylvie set for herself but why does she want revenge? Because her parents were taken from her, her sibling was taken from her, her home was taken from her, everything that she loved was taken from her and she was left all alone to fend for herself running for years and years and years with nothing and no one to claim as hers. That's an incredibly lonely life but revenge is not going to bring her family back is it? It's not going to take her home. When all is said and done she is going to feel empty and hollow inside because that's not what she truely wanted just like getting a throne would never have satisfied Loki because that's not what he truely wanted. Through this series Loki had come to that realisation about himself and embraced it. He watched his life play out infront of him and he has had time to reflect, like he said he knows what he did and why he did it. Sylvie has been consumed by rage all this time that she hadn't really allowed herself to come to that realisation yet much less embrace it. They could have both had what they truely wanted in each other but Sylvie sabotaged it all in a moment of blind rage which ironically is a very Loki thing to do.

@@zainabawoon9697 you really have a really good point. Perhaps that’s not what she actually wanted, I mean after she did it she was basically broke inside. You’re completely right about the fact that that’s not what she wanted (perhaps) and what she did It’s gonna cause a mess, and well basically she broke the universe but if we really see the situation in the way she might see it it’s hard , like as you said her whole life was taken from her in a way or another the pain, the anger , the hate are gonna consume her just like it consumed loki. Maybe the loki from New York it’s the Sylvie who killed him. Maybe she needed to do it , so she can grow even more than how she growth already. We all have our battle the TVA was sylvies, maybe she winning it was the only way for her to change, to see that it was not necessary to see that’s not what she actually wants. All I know it’s that I live this show,I love the characters , I literally everything and I cannot wait for the season 2

Aka Loki. She just hasn't realized it yet. The character development in this series is top notch, I swear.🥺

She did not betray him. If anything, he betrayed her by not being on her side. She just did what she always said she will do. That being said, I don't think any of them betrayed the other. Loki obviously was right to say that they should talk about, but Sylvie lived for this moment her whole life, and she knew Loki would eventually talk her out of it, so she needed to send him away.

If you look closely Sylvie went for the kiss not Loki witch means she still loves him and cares for him but did not want to risk hurting him anymore, That’s why she pushed him into a different timeline. they will find each other again(I hope) but it might be a wile. I just realised that the fact they are separated now means they’re going to meet again (and make up other wise marvel can count their days) and so we’ll probably get a second kiss bc I mean why not

The part where sylvie kisses loki is the most bittersweet but romantic scene ever and I love it
I just love their love story so much. The acting, the chemistry, the intimacy, the subtle but not so subtle facial expressions, the little things and how they always look out for eachother and how he is always so protective of her.
Even with what had happened at the end of the episode, their is so much more to their romance and love story and it leaves a lot more room to explore in season 2. I know they're gonna get back together

When i first saw them kiss, i couldn't watch it completely actually. I jumped out of my chair and was jumping with joy. I had to control my smirk , sit down and watch again.....

I think it's important to realize that both Loki and Sylvie probably feel betrayed by the other, not just Loki (I've been seeing a lot of this narrative). The only reason we immediately side with Loki is because this show is, fundamentally, about his story, and we have a lot more backstory and character development with him; obviously, Sylvie not trusting Loki hurts him, and by extension us, because he just desperately wants her to trust him, and we know how badly he wants to prove he's changed... but if we approach this situation from Sylvie's perspective? A person who, for their entire life - an unnaturally extended, lonely, painful life - has dedicated themselves to this one thing? The one thing that Loki - a person who, let's not forget, has only been around in Sylvie's life for a very short time, comparatively - interrupted and tried to prevent her from doing? After just saying, hours ago, that he wouldn't betray her in the end?
I can't fault Sylvie for not trusting Loki, because I wouldn't either - not because of his past (though that's certainly a valid reason), but because trust isn't something that comes immediately, especially for someone who hasn't been able to trust a single person for the majority of their very long life. I certainly can't fault her for thinking Loki was conning her the whole time - she's been lied to and betrayed many times over, and after a while it would be difficult to actually believe anyone who says they won't betray you. Now, I'm not saying that what Sylvie did was right or wrong, or if she made the "right" choice in killing He Who Remains, but I think that her desire - nay, her need - to fulfill this plan makes sense given the backstory we got, and that she would ultimately choose it over Loki (despite her own feelings for him).
Of course, I can't fault Loki, either, for being upset by Sylvie's actions and her lack of trust in him - I would be too, but despite HIS feelings for her, he isn't entitled to her trust, especially after such a short period of time (this whole series takes place in what, a few days, a week - following Loki's attack on New York? I certainly believe that Loki went through an extreme amount of positive development in that time, and that he's not the person he used to be - but I also have a lot more information to base my assessment off of than Sylvie does).
That being said, I DO think that both Sylvie and Loki deeply care about one another, despite their actions at the end of this episode - they just have fundamentally different motivations and worldviews (hence Sylvie's "but I'm not you" line). I know this has been said, but to me, Sylvie pushing Loki away wasn't representative of her pushing her feelings for him away, but more of a "I know what I need to do and you can't be here because you'll try to stop me, and I don't want to hurt you or let you talk me down because what will this all have been for if I don't finish this thing I've committed myself to."

They are so... Loki. And i love it. Both respond the same way, both have the idea of glorious purpose, but deep down they just want to be loved, to have friends.
Thor in 1 movie had friends, but loki was always alone, he wanted to be but never was a part of their group. He had another sense of humor, habits, talents, he thought differently... And Thor's friends didn't like him. Mobius did like him, just the way he was. Loki was the same person, but he met someone who actually found him likable, who found him equal and worthy. And after Mobius he met Sylvie. This changed everything.
Sylvie has the same Loki basis and the same problems with people. She met Loki, and this changed her mindset. She has tragic story before Loki, so she needs more time to think and realize what is really important. Especially after what he did in second season.
I see that the same way as you..And I think what they have/ had is really special. Kevin Wright said: "They both need a lot of personal work to get to a place where they could have a good relationship." So this gives me hope after all that there's a chance for them 🙏❤️🔥

But I think she knows they are their, but is afraid to admit it, to let herself believe it. She hasn’t had the same character development as Loki she still has to learn to trust. Yeah I find it awful how people are reacting! That was beautifully done. I hope they have a future together. Even though I'm scared they might not do it, because the showrunner isn't returning for season 2 and half of the fans found it to be weird, even though that's not true at all in my opinion. Loki and Sylvie are my fave mcu couple and I ship them so much.
Sylvie did not betray loki. The kiss was totally pure and out of true love and not as a form of distraction. Loki loves her and she loves loki but she was blinded by revenge that she did what she had to/wanted to do. When she listened to loki's confession and told her that he wanted her to be okay, she does realise that loki loves her but only sent her away to the tva where she knew he would be safe and not as a form of betrayal. If she really wanted to betray him, the n she would have killed him right away instead of sending him back.

The problem here is that she is like old him , the one that doesn't trust , her betrayal of his love for what she thinks is the right way is very similar to his betrayal of thor for what he thinks is the right way , both of them blind to the love in front of them , loki grow and realised the truth , he realised that the ones who love him are number 1 and that they are all he needs , but she didn't, she is exactly in the same mind space that loki was in in the first thor movie.
It's truly heartbreaking when you realise that she just can't help it , she has nothing , no frigga , no thor , no one , he didn’t have love before , he knew the love of a mother , the love of a brother , but she didn't, and that's why he knew how to love her and she didn't.
