Of course they know about it, they would have had to have given permission for the filming in Buckingham Palace
They don't really film there, the interiors are built sets and the outside is mostly CGI, if you watch carefully it's more obvious in some scenes than others.

haha no I've watched some great films last year. felt this year was just lackluster in comparison. alot of remakes banking on nostalgia and alot less original indie/low budget films. but I can happily say the Fall looks to be good movie wise.

What Claire Foy does in the last second is absolutely breathtaking and so so powerful. You can see her entire character shift from Elizabeth Windsor to Elizabeth Regina from the smallest shift in her frame and in her gaze. Magnificent.

Actually, the Queen Mother was the last Empress of India. And the correct address is Her Majesty, His/Her Grace is used for e.g. dukes. I'm not an expert in forms of address though.

I am an American living in the U.S. but I love historical dramas and tales of the British monarchy. Many Americans, while rejecting the idea of royalty on the basis of this nation's founding, still enjoy the pomp, gala and drama that surrounds them. Also, this is about history and all that happened during these times, not just about QE2
As an American, I bow to no one. You're damn right. Now, personally, the only royal from Britain I liked was Princess Diana of Wales. From there, I care about her children too. That's about it.
I remember watching this trailer back in 2016 and being thrilled to see this depiction of the royal family. Seeing as how this show has garnered so much conservation & attention now makes me so happy! This show needs to be watched. Easily one of Netflix's best shows ever created.

Well casted and acted. John Lithgow as Winston Churchill just shook me. His vocal patterns,pauses and mannerism were so uncanny.
Lehlila Devandria Gillian Anderson was very well cast too. She really did look and sound like Margaret Thatcher. Diana actress Emma Corin was brilliantly cast too.
I'm getting serious Emilia Clarke vibes from her. Their facial expressions are eerily similar which makes her perfect for the role of the Queen IMO. This show is gonna be great!

I just finished watching this series in Netflix galore. I simply binge watched it. It is brilliant. The acting is on point. Especially Winston Churchill. Each and every actor was cast brilliantly and I was deeply moved by every portrayal. The subtle acting and script writing are phenomenal.
The characters are relatable and considering that most of them are royals or legends that is a major achievement. I'd put this series in my top 5. Including heavy hitters like House of Cards and Breaking Bad.

About five years ago, I signed onto Netflix to watch West Wing. The Crown popped up on my homepage and started playing. I had heard about it but really wasn’t interested. But since it was playing I figured I’d give it five minutes. Before I knew it, the first episode was done and decided to keep going. Because I was a history buff, I kept watching. I had become an instant fan of the show. I learned a lot of history in the process. After each episode I’d look up online to see how close the writing matched actual events.
I’m a big fan of the show now. Can’t wait for season 6
I'm going to start watching this, for the Queen. May her rest in peace.🙏🏽💖🕊

I don't understand english very well, but this serial The Crown moves me so much in terms of background music, scripts, sound tracks, British Monarchy, Queen's wisdom, politics and other relevance. I am once again impressed by the monarch.
Only after watching The Crown did I realize the great personal sacrifices the Queen has had to make throughout her reign. My salute to the Queen.
