Would love to see you review the old powerhouses like quorum Drakkar brut and polo green . I know you would hate them but how you would improve them for the modern day without loses their punch . Cheers from down under
I grabbed this on sale while my girlfriend was out of town. I wore some when I went to pick her up from the airport and the scent BLEW HER MIND!! She absolutely loved it and couldn't keep her hands (and nose) off me lol! Definite keeper in my book!!
I got a sample of this a while back and didn't like it initially. The iris powdery smell. I was like urgh make up and more feminine. But then it dried down on my skin and I was like woah hang on what is this? Must have been the woods. So I thought okay let's apply again. Again the opening I was a little iffy about being used to spicy fresh woody scents. I thought okay is a mediocre for me. But then 2 months later I thought okay let's get another small sample. I tried it again but had before this tried Le Male Elixir and some of those sweeter fragrances, which I had come to like. This second time I loved it. I liked the iris and the boozy opening. I am not sure what had changed but something did and so I ordered a 100ml bottle. Reserve Privee is now my winter signature scent and I wear it in the office. I have been asked on two different occasions by women what I am wearing and I tell them and explain the notes. They love the sweetness of it I guess?
Happy with my 60ml bottle. Finally after long years Givenchy again released something that’s not just okay or good but is actually a great cologne. I have Valentino’s Uomo and this and neither one is redundant.
The #1 perfumer and reviewer out today, period. First, Mr Hughes, I received your “candy” fragrance the other day and it is absolutely amazing. My wife can’t stop smelling me and that’s the point of your strong colognes.. she loves the sweetness of it. My goal is to buy all your fragrances so thank you for an amazing fragrance. Secondly I’ve been looking at this cologne and after this great review I’m going to purchase it. Thnx again ATH because even us American truckers want to smell good. … from Orlando, Florida USA
I heard about that Iris from France, it is crazy, first dryed for 2-3 years, then distilled, and then concreat is fractional distilled, to bump up the some compound in it from 15% that is found in concreat up to 60-65%, so it must be crazy expensive
You're the best parfume reviewer, thanks for sharing your insights! Thanks to you, Kevin Samuels and Jeremy I recently got back into fragrances after many years. Bought 9 fragrances in a month 😂
You are so well spoken, I love listening to you describe a fragrance especially when you are connected! I can't stop watching your vids. I tried to navigate your website to place an order but found it difficult and from what I saw I think everything was sold out sadly. I will keep checking! Cheers Aaron!
Ok just ordered this. I want another fall/winter scent I can wear on set or out to dinner or just bumbling around. I'm a big fan of woodsy scents and love me some whiskey. Huge fan of your reviews. You talk about scents like some people talk about coffee or how I talk about cameras. LOVE it.
I remember trying this, when I read the notes and smelt it it really wasn't how I thought it was going to be and lasts a long time. It's on my to get list.
Once again thank you Aaron for your time and expertise in reviewing fragrances. In my fragrance journey I have come to a level that I feel ready to take the next step and that’s why I’m saving up for buying your fragrances.
Anybody sitting on the fence or thinking about buying one of Aarons fragrances, i'd definitely recommend. I bought 3 today and they are excellent, top quality and worth the price, go for it, thank you Aaron. As for this review, this alongside Hermes Eau Givree are the best releases this year designer wise in my humble opinion 👍
I got a 5ml sample of this with a whole lotta other samples...this definitely stood out, my favorite. It's a very nice sweetness, very smooth and a bit fresh too. Also the booze/rum note in this is insanely good!!
A beautiful, safe, smooth, classy, men's fragrance. Aaron's review is absolutely spot on with the 80/20 and knit-picking final thoughts but that doesn't take away from what is a very lovely release from Givenchy. I'm very happy to own it.
Please review the Gentleman EDT Intense. It’s slightly more versatile and more blue version of Reserve Priveé. I have Dior Homme Intense and I can say it is similar to Gentleman Reserve Priveé. Both are amazing creamy Iris scents! ❤
Quite intense and beautiful iris interpretation in this. It owns sweet amber quality to it, at least to my nose. Yes, definitely, very buttery sensual beautiful perfumery. Agree with u Aaron. Great review
Watching this as I bought this yesterday and keep sniffing myself. I love it. Such a great smell. Let's see if I get some comments on it tomorrow with NYE :)
Lovely review, Aaron, as always. I feel like my nose has progressed a lot by following your channel and I think I will give this fragrance a try this fall, love the chestnut accord.
I am get a lot of Dior Fève Délicieuse vibes from this. Lighter, better blended and a bit more masculine. However the Dior is very much tilted towards uni if that says anything.
Yayy Iris 😂👍🇹🇹. Baby powder and lipstick. I bought Dior homme because it reminded me of how my mother smelled when I was a child. Now I love iris absolutely beautiful ingredient.
What I’ve noticed is after listening to your in depth reviews I can’t listen to anyone 😅 and that’s very interesting about your reviews. Like the honesty about pricing and your choices wether you’ll wear or no. Amazing stuff. Stay Happy. P.S please review new Amouage Reflection 45.

Smells pretty similar to DHI, but without the disgusting lipstick smell. So for me Givenchy smells better. The best Iris note in a Scent is made by Prada l‘homme Intense.
