I have probably watched over a thousand Excel videos, and although I knew about the Modes in Excel, I've NEVER seen it explained, let alone explained so clearly. Nice!

Absolutely spot on. I knew about the modes. But never bothered much as it automatically changed in most scenarios. But yes it was very frustrating when you are working with conditional formatting. It is an elementary alright. But somebody needs to bring your attention to that. I am glad that you did.

Ha! Thanks. Yes, it's supremely irritating when you expect to be in Edit mode, but you're in Point mode instead!

I knew it! My colleagues thought it was a bug. Many many thanks to you now! I've been looking for the answer to this while handling CF especially when there're tons of it keep changing as a result of multiple other users who, despite countless reminders, continue to alter the existing CF as they paste for whatever required. Disabling format pasting with VBA isn't an option as xlsx needs to remain for some other reasons. Do you, by any chance, have any solution to this years of agony, sir?
