Call it a picnic area and people slip into a different mentality as if they think the lions understand that they're not allowed in. Those two elderly ladies were strolling around like they were on an urban nature trail. A long time ago I did a summer job at a safari park in the UK. It never ceased to amaze me what some of the visitors would do in the lion reserve.
Baby lions with mum, doing what lions do, in a national park where they're allowed to be free lions! People, get in your cars, close your windows, lock your doors, and enjoy!💕🦁💕
Wow! Great video. No editing. We've been at Tsokwane picnic spot so many times. Wouldn't have believed it if I haven't seen the video. Great sighting. Lucky bliksems!
How come there's a picnic spot within the Park Reserved area? In india, we have only safaris in the Core areas and that too with a lot of regulations. I did three safaris in Corbett forest in 2018 but we were not allowed to disembark even in the ;buffer; areas. Just an observation.
There are numerous picnic sites in the Kruger. None of them are fenced. As far as I recall, no humans have ever been killed at one of these. And the park is more than a 100 years old now.
We had similar incident at Mkhulu picnic sight although there is the river bank on the one side- lots of the ppl ran to lock themselves in the toilets 😂😂
Andrea,t he Kruger is massive, with all the borderless private game parks adjacent the total area is more than 3 million hectares ( +- 7.5 million acres). Only 11 % are accessible by road. Some animals depending on their personalities (wild animals do actually have different personalities) is not disturbed by human activity, that is why they venture close to roads while a majority will stay away from humans and nobody ever will see them. This is done intentionally by the management and will never change
@@ericsmith1453 Thanks for your reply. Nice to know there's lots of space for the animals. I know some parks make sure the animals get habituated to vehicles so they have no fear. I guess I'm just projecting because if I went on a safari I'd want to be away from people.
@@andreasissons7766 If you ever get the opportunity visit the Kruger,it is not expensive it will be a great experience.I sometime get the idea these lions have fun venturing among the tourists causing brake marks in their undergarments. The young elephant bulls are even worse, harrasing the open safar vehicles
@@andreasissons7766 Yeah, and also, to make things less worse, the lions aren't residential there. they were probably on the hunt, hence the reason they moved there, the lions in the kruger usually hang out in less man-touched areas.
You ascertained all that from your vantage point - remarkable. Clearly you have an enormous wealth of a wildlife expertise. Did you glean this in Africa or somewhere else. Do share. We would love to know.
Ppl look bored lol cats checking out food at takeout lol the lions blend so well with surroundings beautiful golden creatures, y cant ppl just shut up look & listen just like the lions who maybe watching too lol
I don't understand who is scared?. The people/ tourists in the park or the lions in their natural surrounding. It's the people who is in the park not the lions in the human residence.
In my opinion, people shouldn't encroach on animal territory. It's bad enough all those safari jeeps travel in and out. On top of that people have to camp there too. SMH.
Sooner or later the predators are going to get completely used to humans and thats when the dying starts. Too many open vehicles with guides that are not professional is going to lead to a massacre.
It is a designated picnic spot with a restaurant and shop where people are allowed out of their cars I have been there many times that must have been quite a sighting, it is a national park which I have visited and enjoyed many times
Why risking guys? its not a museum its a national park stay inside your cars lock the doirs and close your window otherwise one of you will become a picnic
Not much of a scare. The lion's didn't even come near the people and stayed away from them. If this was such a dangerous situation, the people would have been inside of the building taking shelter. Totally fake video title.
Y r ppl standing out to Lioness & other cats? Do u think they cant c u, maybe u r being lulled into a sense of false security, u look one way lioness strike other way, mmmm think about it
Ahh...another Moron time in the African Safari land. So let's all stand outside of our shelters during the "lion scare". After all, they could never hurt any of you.
Líon scare my Ass that picnic area is right in the middle of the lions land and when an incident occurs its always the poor lions fault. When will these money grabbers learn people and wild predators don't mix.

Fantastic. I’ve been to the Kruger Park about 40 times in my life and I have never seen lions so close to the picnic sight. Thanks for sharing.
I've been there too, and ever got a chance to c them
40 times ??? OMG
Been there a lot too but not once have I seen lions.. So glad though I would freeeeeek out
Julio Cesar Paulino white ppl love Africa
40 times? Hmmph, amateurs! I've been 130 times. That's more like it!
Let them be! This is the "Wild" Its called that for a reason
Makes one truly appreciate how difficult it truly is to get good footage of the wild in nature
They must have smelled the fried chicken in your picnic basket 🧺🍗
Lions and you are standing outside unprotected watching, all you needed is for them to have charged you
lions wanted to picnic too ...
How lucky the people who are there, I love forest environment and animals
Why is there a picnic area in the middle of the action?
It is one of several picnic sites in the Kruger national park there is a restaurant as well
It’s called the wild my friend.

Imagine going to a picnic then getting told you ain't the guest's
Don’t they realize they’re in lion turf
Where you see Cubs there’s usually a mama close by
Love seeing wild lions roaming free. We must remember we are encroaching on their territory.
4:07 “are we safe here mate?” Well let’s see, you’re outside, with a lion🤔
Any plans today naahh okay lets have a picnic where there are lions hyenas wild dogs cheetahs komodo dragons wow sounds like a great idea!!
Komodo Dragon?
If youre afraid to have a "scare" maybe you shouldnt have a picnic in the midst of African wildlife. Its their domain not ours.
Lioness most famous, efficient hunter, fancy urself as prey
If you call that a scare, you've lived a very sheltered life.
It should be called lion scarce.
Click bait
Do anybody saw Mike?. He went to the bushes just now. It's 20 minutes already
Lions: this resort used to b our resting site, fukin Man everywhere..
Lol I would be so flipping scared!
Guy asks...Are we safe here mate? Absolutely not.. You are less than 100 ft from a lion and you're on foot. Knucklehead
Y so surprised. Tht is their home.
Wow I would have needed a new pair of shorts if I was there lol 😝
Nah...that was pretty awesome
Or running to my car. I would just stand there. I stopped getting off the car at this picnic spots. You never know whats lurking in the bushes.
It like to know where the scary moment was...
waste 5 minutes on youtube, scary moment.
Well...you're in their territory. Not the other way around.
wow unusual to stand outside the car
How safe is your guest at that lodge?
title should be Lion cub scare...i didn't see any adult lion
It's getting real in the Whole Foods parking lot
We had similar incident at Mkhulu picnic sight although there is the river bank on the one side- lots of the ppl ran to lock themselves in the toilets 😂😂
Ugh...too many tourists and cars. I feel sorry for the lions having to put up with that day to day.

Still waiting for the "Lion Scare."
You know what the biggest enemy of the lions are? Human Greed.
Que peligro vivir en una selva llena de fieras peligrosas
This is why I hate stopping at pick-nick stops... I'd be so petrified
Shouldn't this be selfish destructive human tourists trying to picnic on lions territory Uninvited?
This is all terrifying to me really 😨
Yes I wouldn’t want to be wandering around there with lions about
"Scare" 😂 That was nothing.
I would have gotten into some sort of shelter.
These lions are hired by the park to give an adrenaline rush and tourists have something to tell when they return to their countries.
😅🤣🤣How much do they get paid for that
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Are we save here mate? RFLMAO!
Yeah, the picnic is interrupted, by those human. So the lions toke their picnic some where else.
too close to camp besides so many windows down & even elbows out?
Exactly. Then they would wonder why they get mauled.
Sooo, where was the scare? The lion wasn't that close and was never a threat.

The money the tourist spend in Kruger is wat is paying for poacher patrols an keeping these beautiful beasts safe
That other car is so loud.
Good heavens , they just let people stand out there like that when lions are around. Those are wild animals. No wonder people get mauled.
