1. plants don't have a nervous system, they can't feel pain, and don't have emotions. It's scientifically proven.
2. A lot of fruits we eat are part of the reproductive system of the actual plant, they are not the plant themselves. For example, an apple is part of an apple tree, and the apples are meant to be picked off so an animal eats them and spreads the seeds. It's basic biology.
whenever i tell someone i’m vegetarian they start asking me if i has every tried different types of meat. when i say no they are like bugging me so much i just leave. also they ask me if i take pills because i don’t get enough protein but protein doesn’t come from meat only. also everyone always asks me if i’ll try meat one day (i’ve been vegetarian my whole life) and it just annoys me so much. ok last thing, whenever i go out with my friends. they always go to barbecues and meat houses. i can’t eat anything there so i just watch my friends eat while i starve

The whole “but plants are alive too!” argument I’m like so do you want us to just starve to death like what else are we supposed to eat??
I think the point of the argument is to say 'You're a hypocrite for caring about animals, plants have feelings too!', However (I don't know the reasons why people are vegetarian), since plants don't have pain receptors (and are not sentient the way animals are or we are), it's ok to eat them. Especially since animals are not treated rather inhumanely for their meat. I hope that this clears things up.
Plants don't have a central nervous system, unlike animals, so no, they technically can't feel pain. Case closed.

I am a vegeterian and here's my story. When I was 6 years old I wanted to become a vegeterian, because I was disgusted by the meat and I felt bad for the poor animals. When I stared first grade and getting new friends I said that I am vegeterian and they aksed me why and I needed to start a long story why I was vegeterian. The time passed by and my other classmates started ignoring me for that and even making jokes about it. I was ashamed, but I still went on. The things started getting better, but still they were moments like that. I am happy for that I am vegeterian and never gonna taste any meat. Also my mom is vegan for 8 years or more
