As much as I love Sarah Michelle Gellar in a horror movie, let alone my favorite slasher ever, I think Tara Reid did an amazing job as Sasha! I'm not sure I'd be okay with switching her out in hindsight. Plus, Sarah's characters were already killed off in similar fashions in Scream 2 and I Know What You Did Last Summer. I wish she had been cast as the lead in another 90s slasher. She would have done well at the time in one!!!!
In the late 90s the slasher flick, especially teen slasher flick was just crazy. Scream. I Know What You Did Last Summer and this one Urban Legend. I thought it was a pretty decent film with loads of famous 90s teen/young person actors in it. Favourite bit is the start with the guy in the petrol station trying to warn her, and the killer in the back of the car. It's a really good atmospheric film with lots of good jump scares.
This movie is sm fun and as someone who’s very familiar with a lot of the urban legends represented in the movie I loved it. The killer I love as well bc I completely understand her motive and the performance is so entertaining. Even the killer reveal was unexpected tbh. My favorite kill of the movie is the car spike kill creative and just cutting the Achilles heel oof hurts every time I see that on screen in a movie. Loved seeing Robert Englund again.
One of my earliest internet deep dives was for urban legends shortly after getting my first pc in ‘96, so I was very familiar with a lot of the urban legends represented in the movie as well.
The 3 book series Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark from the 90s was my source to Urban Legends. So I already knew about these Urban Legends they referenced in the movie.

Hey guys, I liked the reaction.😊 Did u know that Danielle Harris was not only in HALLOWEEN 4 & 5 as a child actor, but also in Rob Zombie's Halloween re-make as Laurie Strode's best friend Annie as an adult. I believe the actor Brad Dourif, the OG "Chucky" portrayed Sheriff Brackett, Annie's father in that same movie. O, I have a story for u about that Urban Legend "Bloody Mary". When I was 12yrs old my great uncle & his family came over for a visit. They lived in Stockton, California which is about a 6hr drive from where we live, so we didn't see them very often. His kids were kinda close to my age so I hung out w/them while they were here. Anyway, @ one point, they asked me if I wanted to play a game, but then they were like "No,no,no, you're probably too chicken." I said "How do u know if I'm scared, if I don't know what game it is?" So, they told me the game was called "Bloody Mary" & u had to say her name 3 times in front of a mirror in the dark, & then she was supposed to appear in the mirror. This is in 1985, way before CANDYMAN. So, the 3 of us crowded into the small hall bathroom because it was the only dark place w/a mirror in my house during the the day. I was directly in front of the mirror, my female cousin who's about 5 yrs older was behind me to my left & my male cousin who's about 3yrs older was behind me to my right. My male cousin was closest to the light switch so he flicked it off. In total darkness, we began to say "Bloody Mary" 3 times in unison. We stood there for a few seconds. My male cousin sighed & said "I don't see anything, I'm gonna turn on the light." His big sis spoke up. "Just wait, give it a few more seconds." I think I might have been the only one still looking in the mirror @ that moment. In the darkness of the mirror, I saw the silhouette of a woman in a dress standing @ a distance. She started gliding forward towards me. I let out a frightened cry & turned to the bathroom door bulldozing into my male cousin. I started shouting "LET ME OUT, LET ME OUT!! SHE'S GONNA GET ME!" I had hold of the doorknob & kept trying to open the door to get out, but the door wouldn't fully open because it was hitting my male cousin. He said "Would u wait a second?! Let me move out of the way!" Finally, I burst out of the bathroom swiping @ the tears on my face. My heart was racing. I hurried over to my mom standing beside her. My cousins slowly walked out of the hall toward the living room whispering to one another. My great uncle looked @ me, & then looked @ his kids & said "Alright, what the Hell did u 2 do?" My cousins answered in unison.. "Nothing." My great uncle grunted, & then said "Nothing huh, then why is she so clearly upset?" My male cousin spoke up. "We were only playing a game." "Ah-huh, I can only imagine what that game was coming from u 2. I'll deal w/u 2 later." I don't know if he ever did punish them. But,yeah, that was my experience w/that so called Urban Legend. Never again.
Here in Northern Virginia we have our own urban legend called the Bunnyman Bridge. Legend has it that a bus full of mental patients escaped and ran off into the woods. One of the inmates was found hanging from the bridge like a skinned rabbit one year later. Now, if you stand at the center of the bridge at midnight and say Bunnyman five times he'll hang you.
@@notyouraveragebear9326 Allegedly, there were two teens found hanging from the bridge in the 1970s. It's all BS anyway. The true story is that a couple was parked in their car when a man who may or may not have been wearing bunny ears attacked their car with an ax. The wife says she was wearing a hood.
In my opinion this is a very underrated film. It's one of my favourites from 98, and in my top 100 films. Of course i also love that Danielle Harris, Brad Dourif, and Robert Englund all feature in it.

Rebecca Gayheart should have been the third killer in Scream 2. She did a great job portraying the killer in this movie and her character in Scream 2 was glossed over in the latter half of that movie. She plays crazy and maniacal so well.
I agree she should have been the killer but with her other beta blonde friend. I remember in theater that's what everyone that it was gonna be. Like two girl killer. Like part one two boy killers.
That's because she is crazy: "On 13 June 2001, Gayheart struck 9-year-old Jorge Cruz Jr. as he jaywalked across the street. According to the police report, the boy was walking home from school, and crossed the street about 160 feet from the nearest crosswalk. While several cars stopped to let him go, Gayheart allegedly swerved around the traffic and into a two-way left-turn lane, striking the boy; he died the next day at Los Angeles Children's Hospital. His parents, Jorge Cruz and Silvia Martinez, filed a wrongful-death lawsuit on 6 August 2001 against her. Gayheart paid for Cruz's hospital and funeral expenses." - IMDB

it's bizarre how angry people get when Mrs. Movies doesn't enjoy a movie they love. Imagine being so insecure and dumb that you feel attacked for liking horrible films. That's on you, and is pretty representative of how awful social media is.
Rebecca Gayheart plays a character who wants revenge against a woman who accidentally killed her fiance with her car and only received probation. Three years later in real life, Rebecca Gayheart accidentally killed a 9 year old boy with her car and only received probation.
She got another chance to get a role in a big Hollywood production though after playing in a handful of c-movies in the meantime. She played a small role in "Once upon a time in Hollywood". Guess Tarantino, whose most of his films got produced by a woman molester (Weinstein/Miramax) don't gives a f... when it comes to morality (i hate that guy, he's so overrated and also a creep).
Great correction Mr movies ❤ yes Jamie is a character in Halloween 4,5,6 but like you said Danielle Harris is 4,5 because Jamie in 6 was recast as an adult with a time jump❤
20:33: I've done this for real using a plastic I.D. card to open a locked door. Depends on the type of door and the gap (if any) in the frame, but I wouldn't recommend using credit cards/bank cards in case they snap. A box cutter is a good choice though.
This is such a classic I remember watching this on TV when it premiered on The USA Channel in 2003 I didn't know that it was released in theaters 1998 but this was the same year Danielle Harris play Debby Thornberry in the tv animated series the wild Thornberry.

Personally, I love this film because it goes through urban legends from around the world. And the goth chick, that was the Halloween remake in the movie. She played Laurie's friend. :D
I watched Halloween as a child and I’ve always checked my backseat as long as I been driving… 32 years later still check my backseat before I get in the car… Thanks Michael Meyers!!!
Fun fact With Jared Leto. Guy interviewed him and mentioned this film….heres a quote. “During an interview in 2012, the interviewer brought up his performance in the 1998 slasher film "Urban Legend." Not only did Leto have little to say about the role, he didn't even remember appearing in it, and he's the secondary star” lol apparently Leto hates this film and says it was one of the worst he’s been in 😂
You should watch ,escape to victory ,if you haven't seen it yet, it's a brilliant movie ,it's so so good, you wont be disappointed , also dances with wolves and the young guns 1 and 2 and the mad max movies oh and the lethal weapon movies and rocky & rambo movie And field of dreams also again if you haven't seen them Rick xxx.
Watched this last night. I had seen it, but I forgot who the killer was. I thought it was Josh Jackson's character, but, I was wrong. I'm sure he's been in a slasher where he was though.
I'm right there with Mrs. Idk why people hype this movie up so much and insists it's a MUST see on the channels. As someone that grew up in the 90's and knew and loved all the actors and was obsessed with slashers in general it's an aight movie. It holds a lot of nostalgia for a lot of people and as she said it was one of those movies that people have a fond memory of due to their teenage years but I'm pretty objective when it comes to that kind of stuff. It reminds me of 13 ghosts where for some reason people hype it up and it's not that bad but doesn't warrant this overly hype energy people have for it.
That's smart of the Mrs to fill her tank if it gets below half. Not only does it prevent the inconvenience of getting stuck somewhere without gas, but letting your tank get too low can damage your fuel pump as it is inside the tank and being surrounded by gas is what lubricates it.
The plastic card shimming up a lock is not an urban ledgend, but something that could be done in the past. The lock rule was not on a spring, or held in place by mechnical means, but just slid over by the lock mechanism. This ment that with a little bit of -tenderness- patience, you could shimmy the lock rule until it was in the open position. Today the lock rules are held in place by the mechanism, meaning it can't be moved by this direct manipulation.
I loved the fact that the voice of chucky, Freddy krueger, and lex Luthor were all in a movie together
An Luthers fellow villain. Joker
The the scream queen, in her own right, Danielle Harris.. Crime her role was so small though.

Faaaaacts. The more I watch reactions the more I realize they just cater to their audience a bit too much. I know ppl in the real world that don’t like EVERY movie, even classics. I will admit this channel watches more movies that aren’t considered “good” too though.
@@thejthanner I love some awful movies. I don't pretend like they're great, though, and I respect when someone calls them out.
it's bizarre how angry people get when Mrs. Movies doesn't enjoy a movie they love. Imagine being so insecure and dumb that you feel attacked for liking horrible films. That's on you, and is pretty representative of how awful social media is.
@@Psilocybin77prolby have childhood trauma for being mocked for liking sumthin that nobody else like when in school
This is why I still look in the back lol I’ve had a single cab for three years.
Rebecca Gayheart plays a character who wants revenge against a woman who accidentally killed her fiance with her car and only received probation. Three years later in real life, Rebecca Gayheart accidentally killed a 9 year old boy with her car and only received probation.
Though it pretty much ended her career
She got another chance to get a role in a big Hollywood production though after playing in a handful of c-movies in the meantime. She played a small role in "Once upon a time in Hollywood". Guess Tarantino, whose most of his films got produced by a woman molester (Weinstein/Miramax) don't gives a f... when it comes to morality (i hate that guy, he's so overrated and also a creep).
Probation, 750 hrs of community service, a wrongful death suit as well as paying the medical and funeral expenses.
Wasn't there something else about Rebecca Gayheart, a leaked threesome sex tape?
American justice have money get off easy if that was us we'd still be in for life
“He was trying to protect her! He was a Good Guy!” 😂😂😂😂
Yup… Chucky definitely is a good guy. 😂
Rebecca Gayheart who plays Brenda also played sorority sister Lois in scream 2
"Are you ok?!"
No, she just had Pop Rocks and Coke.
Brenda is one of my favourite horror movie killers she is really underrated
She’s terrible and a terrible actress.. you must be a 🚬
Alicia Witt was good in Two Weeks Notice and Last Holiday.
The scariest horror thriller movie I'd recommend is Switchblade Romance and it's French hardly any dialogue but edge of your seat terror.❤🇬🇧
Great correction Mr movies ❤ yes Jamie is a character in Halloween 4,5,6 but like you said Danielle Harris is 4,5 because Jamie in 6 was recast as an adult with a time jump❤
The Latin motto of the university, which is featured on its emblem in some scenes, translates as: "The Best Friend Did It".
20:33: I've done this for real using a plastic I.D. card to open a locked door. Depends on the type of door and the gap (if any) in the frame, but I wouldn't recommend using credit cards/bank cards in case they snap. A box cutter is a good choice though.
I can't wait for the Scary Movie reaction
Ah yes, bleach blonde Joshua Jackson. The reason Pacey had highlights that one season of Dawson's creek. 😂
This is such a classic I remember watching this on TV when it premiered on The USA Channel in 2003 I didn't know that it was released in theaters 1998 but this was the same year Danielle Harris play Debby Thornberry in the tv animated series the wild Thornberry.
So many horror legends in this one. Brad Dourif, Robert Englund, Danielle Harris
Little Mikey is a fictional boy played by John Gilchrist (born February 2, 1968) in an American television commercial promoting Quaker Oats' breakfast cereal Life.
Always enjoyed the creepy janitor.. years later i found out that that same Actor also played the original Three Finger from Wrong Turn
Brad Dourif's a great actor, I loved him in the movies grimm prairie tales and as the *sshole racist deputy in Mississippi Burning (based on a true story)
Personally, I love this film because it goes through urban legends from around the world. We have our own versions of some of them here in Finland. 🙂 And by the way, the blonde who does that radio show about dumb teenagers and s*x is also in the Sharknando movies. And the goth chick, that was the Halloween remake in the movie. She played Laurie's friend. :D
Wow, it's Lex Luthor from Smallville!
35:55 We really have to wonder what the outtakes were like if these were the line deliveries they went with!
The guy could have saved the first girl by saying there was a man in your back seat before locking her inside with him… 😅
I watched Halloween as a child and I’ve always checked my backseat as long as I been driving… 32 years later still check my backseat before I get in the car… Thanks Michael Meyers!!!
Pop Rocks are from the 70s.
"Skeeter, that's that Noxzema girl!" 😅
Fun fact With Jared Leto. Guy interviewed him and mentioned this film….heres a quote. “During an interview in 2012, the interviewer brought up his performance in the 1998 slasher film "Urban Legend." Not only did Leto have little to say about the role, he didn't even remember appearing in it, and he's the secondary star” lol apparently Leto hates this film and says it was one of the worst he’s been in 😂
A couple anthologies that include some of these urban legends are Nightmares 1983 (back seat killer) and The Willies 1990 (dog in microwave).
5:40 Mrs. Movies I have to say myself and every horror movie fan appreciates that
Natasha Gregson Wagner! I've never heard that name uttered with such disbelief and subdued excitement.
2:33
Wasn't Danielle Harris in The Last Boy Sscout as well?
The Hitchhiker (1986)... Rutger Hauer (Bladerunner).
This movie is such a underrated gem 💎! I still have it on DVD. The cast is epic. Crazy to see a young Jared Leto as well Awesome reaction! 😊👍🏽
You should watch ,escape to victory ,if you haven't seen it yet, it's a brilliant movie ,it's so so good, you wont be disappointed , also dances with wolves and the young guns 1 and 2 and the mad max movies oh and the lethal weapon movies and rocky & rambo movie
And field of dreams also again if you haven't seen them
Rick xxx.
Loved the Dawson's drainage ditch song.
I’m so glad that y’all finally watched this movie
Rebecca Gaylord made a cameo at the end of Urban Legends: Uncut ( playing a nurse at a mental hospital)
& she did murder someone in real life!
I'm surprised they haven't tried to make a remake yet withthelast 3 people. lol
The fact that everyone has this jacket is explained by the fact that it is distributed free of charge at the university.
Watched this last night. I had seen it, but I forgot who the killer was. I thought it was Josh Jackson's character, but, I was wrong. I'm sure he's been in a slasher where he was though.
I loved these movies growing up
Like the intro. The other one was good too..sounded like Taylor Dayne," Heart of Stone".
I remember I liked this one a lot. Scream type stuff(scream-stuff,lol)😂 hadn't hyped up yet.I saw it in theatre.❤
You can pump gas in OR now. My home state NJ is the last left I believe. I remember how pricey gas was when I lived in Oregon
It was actually a horror movie called Bloody Mary, released in the 2000’s.
"She almost got a nose job!"
Yeah, a Michael Jackson nose job.😅😂
One of my favourite slasher movies.
"Golly. How many is it?"
Everyone Mrs. Movies sees on-screen in one of these.....
You'd be surprised how many people can catch you going 10 mph 🤣🤣
