How Ghost Dance isn't held in the same esteem as their peers is so beyond me. Absolutely perfect. This one has the best elements of Gary's guitar work and actually almost has a bit of a Southern Death Cult feel. Anne Marie's voice is flawless.
Christopher Dillon You are dead on with the comparison. It's very much early Billy Duffy. This riff is basically Death Cult "Brothers Grimm" note for note.
If I listened to this a million times it wouldn't be enough. Absolutely Beautiful. Such emotion in Anne Marie's voice. Loved it when they played it live.
One of the great bands of the eighties. A little overlooked in my opinion. Sadly all my vinyl was stolen and replacing GD is proving particularly difficult. So a big thanks for posting.
@@ef7480 be great to c the tapes up on line my friend I had loades of tapes of bootlegs back in the day I recorded alot of the gigs myself I do not have them anymore Stolen long time ago
I'm listening to the Skeletals version on the Eternal demos, open YT and up pops this. Wonderful track, one of my fave GD tracks. Love Anne-Marie, hope to see you again soon.
Oh to b 15 in 85 again. Left home to live the life of crimpers, clogs, gigs and obligatory huge crush on Anne Marie lol. And weekends of dj linda at spotted House lol
Went to see Ghost Dance at least 4 times - they had a core of 15 (?) or so fans who followed them everywhere....great evening of goth every time.
The Spook Squad 👻
Where do they usually perform or do they take tours around everywhere?
Gary Marx told my mate to fuck off when he approached him and AM for an autograph after a gig. Funny as fuck 🤣
I wish their stuff was available on CD. Too fantastic to be so obscure. :-)
