- Kia Soul Freedom Van by FREEDOM MOTORS AUSTRALIA. Entry 1300mm high x 800mm wide. Internal height 1350mm. Also available as a self drive transfer for wheelchair inside the vehicle.
I’m currently in the market for my first vehicle and I came to UA-cam to look for ideas on some nice handicap assessable vehicles to drive and I’m finding these small vans to be perfect for me.
Fascinating , but what about hiring someone to drive it for you?
I love this! Is itonlyy available in Australia?
Still waiting on the useless NDIS to OK the conversion for my son. The mods were assessed by SWEP (Vic)
and sent for final approval to NDIS on 15 Jan 2019.
It has been with the "specialist team" since then, who appear to be specialising in fucking everybody around.
I get the feeling that our contact person at the NDID is as frustrated as we are.
It has an EZ Lock.
Very nice.

when are you going to ever make a small vehicle that someone can put their wheelchair into like a drive there actual manual wheelchair into and then they can drive from that like you know your wheelchair goes right up to the steering wheel and you also have room to put groceries when are they going to make one of those I don't want to have to get into the freaking backseat of a car what why bother I might as well just transfer in and out on the damn chair what use is this does this even do what use is it does me no good whatsoever I now have to have somebody drive me around everywhere I don't have a chauffeur I have to do it myself
Hi, We actually do modify a Small Kia Soul with and internal transfer seat at the moment so you can transfer to the drivers seat on the inside of the vehicle. Also working on a drive from wheelchair version. The wheelchair however must be a crash tested chair with back and headrest, so you would be at least safe while driving.
here's the problem if I transfer into the vehicle where exactly do I put my wheelchair in small cars you can't put them across your body to have them fit in the passenger seat and in most small cars there's no way you can get them behind you once you're in the car so do you have anything that I could transfer into that now I can get my wheelchair into the back seat I mean besides me taking my manual wheelchair into vehicle and driving it even though it's not crash tested because there's no way my wheelchair would be crash tested because well it's a manual wheelchair and why am I going to go out and buy a different wheelchair when I can just transfer into the seat I mean my wheelchair was $9,000 and I'm not going to go out and buy another wheelchair just to make it crash-tested

The vehicle we modify is entry at the rear by remote control. You drive your wheelchair in and it locks into a docking system. The driver seat is mounted on a transfer base and moves backwards and turns so you can transfer to the driver seat direct from your wheelchair and then it seat turns back and moves forward to the driving position.
fma2760 Do you have a video of fully transferring from a wheelchair from the docking system? Does the transfer seat do a complete 180?
go like. all neh daniel video
Could any one give me an idea on price. Thanks.
Hi Matthew. Please give us a call on 1800 672 437. A Freedom Mobility Consultant will be happy to discuss your needs and prices with you. Regards, The Freedom Team
Around $30,000, which is par for the course for this kind of mod.
A lot of money but the NDIS will fund it if it's regarded as "reasonable and necessary".
You need a good OT to submit your case.
i hope disabilities can operate themselves
Can I have one please....
You could have one if Stuart Robert hadn't spent $30,000 on his internet service last year.
Makes you wonder what he was watching.
Ithan automatic and very easy
Hi Fernando, we are in Australia and do not supply this wheelchair access modification to Portugal. You must have a problem with another modifier?
Who is the modifier you have issues with?
