Lads, I don't know which management team needs to hear this but I guarantee you that absolutely no one cares that the highlights are up so quickly when they miss out half the action. I think I speak on behalf of everyone when I say we'd rather wait a day or two to get a 6-minute video that actually shows every score rather than this absolute mess.
Hate to say it, but the highlights throughout the whole weekend have slowly got worse and worse. I can’t hear the commentators on most of them. I can’t hear the referees. There is no scoreboard no clock you’re not showing cards or penalties. You’re missing tries what’s the point in having a highlights if you’re not gonna show any of the highlights It’s ridiculous this is what makes rugby, laughing stock, the fact that they can’t even edit a video properly 😡
Professional Rugby is not playing by it’s laws anymore. The amount of blocking off the ball is more like NFL. Never mind the debatable forward pass for that first try just look at the #1 prop clearing out a potential tackler/channel ahead of their ball carrier - it couldn’t be more blatant Had the defending forward not been taken out of the way the 10 would have been free to drift onto the 13 who supplied the try scorer and still another spare tackler outside…. The prop even extends his arms as he looks back afterwards as if to say “I didn’t do anything….it wasn’t me” [who infringed] - clearing out ahead of the ball-carrier seems just fine now?
These highlights are abysmal. EPCR are joke shop. Idiotic formats that keep changing, rubbish scheduling, highlights that miss tries and vital incidents, television rights scattered to the four winds and hidden accounting. Bring back the ERC.
When are you finally going to improve the quality of these highlights? Or is it a privilege which only goes for the Champions Cup that we actually see every try? This has been going on for several seasons now and people have been calling for better ever since. Listen to your audience!
Don’t worry people. We should soon get highlights with tries. The AI generator needs first to learn a bit more about rugby. Once it get it, we should be good!
To everyone moaning about the highlights, they are contractually obliged to keep the highlights to three minutes. In high scoring games some scores will be missed.
To whom are they contractually obliged & how do you know? If they had to keep highlights that short, how come they also have a playlist of 10 minute highlights on the channel?
