Ha! It really doesn't sound too bad anymore for a 4$ harp This is basically how I hack one of those cheap Austrian "Grover" type harps and I actually kinda like the rough twang of it for certain things
I have a Snoopy harp. I have another from cracker barrel that's a little different but maybe worse then Snoopy harp. Thing about Snoopy harp is it super cheap AND, you can work them to make them sound a little better. I brushed away the chrome plating, brought the arms in more for tighter gaps, thinned the Reed and shaped it with a file. It sounded much better. It last a while before the Reed gave in.
Snoopy harp will make little to no sound, is uncomfortable and runs the possibility of chipping your teeth and are nothing like a real jaw harp. Check out theharpery.com. Tons of awesome harps there with free shipping.
I bot my first cheap jaw harp and it’s my only one. I find it to play pretty well and I learned some techniques and stuff. Idk were I got with this comment but ya idk anymore
Dude I put a magnet on the end of my rainbow reed.. it drops sooo low. I also tried them on the frame either side of the reed, it gives it a crazy distortion don t really like it. Putting one near the back seems to tighten up the tones a bit.

OK… I don’t know if you’re still on UA-cam, but if you are I have a question… always wanted to play the jaw harp. So this year for my birthday my mom got me one. Well, come to find out it’s a snoopy jaw Harp, they put it in a different package but it’s the exact same. I cannot even make mine resonate by pulling the trigger when it’s out of my mouth. I am still very driven to learn. And I will!!! But do you think I should get another Harp all together? Or do you think I should just keep practicing with the poop one, because if I can figure this one out I’m sure I can figure them any out! Lol! I guess I would just like to know if I’m wasting my time. Or if I should just move on to a better instrument altogether. Can you help anyone could give me would be great thank you so much! Let the music move you my friends! 🎶

Keep the snoopy and hang it on the wall since it is your first harp. There are a ton of great harps out there. The snoopy harp is a pretty limited harp, but it can be made better.
