Hello my name is Lonnie and My wife is Connie.
Here at Far North Bushcraft And Survival you will learn about many long forgotten tricks and tips of the old time woodsmen. Not only will you learn about bushcraft / woodcraft but you will learn many things that will help you to survive in less than ideal "survival" situations as well. Come along and sit with me by the campfire as I delve into these subjects in a way that you can easily learn to then do yourself.
I will show you how to make shelters, gather food, use wild medicines as well as start fires with or without matches, lighters, ferro rods, etc - Навчання та стиль
When I first got into camping, Lonnie was the guy who showed me that you don't have to spend a fortune to enjoy the outdoors.
be amazed what all you can diy.only thing I would spend good coin on is a solid knife made spicifically for this.knife is probably your single most valuable tool lol.rest can be sourced reasonably cheap or made.that said it is getting pretty hard lately.anything camping related is costing a kidney and it's just flat out disgusting.camping never was intended to be a cash cow.it was a way for the family to enjoy the outdoors without needing to spend anything.greed has changed alot of that lol.but even still, you can get set up on a budget.i did anyways.and while I don't got the best gear,it all works lol.
Same here! I made the tarp tipi and love it!
The way you two work together might give someone the impression that you two love each other.
It is a joy watching two people enjoy life together!!!!!!
The two most humble and down to earth people on this platform. Stay safe both of ya :)
Lonnie and Connie , very nice to visit with you again , thanks for sharing and bringing us along , God bless !
Real people doing real things. Thanks Lonnie and Connie. One of the best channels on YT.
I wish I had a wife that said...lets go camping. All I am met with is a NO. Then I see Connie Cooking and doing the dishes and next scene Lonnie is in bed! Who's doing all the work😎😎 That steak and mushroom dish looked awesome. Great watch, thanks to you both👍👍
Totally agree 👍. I'm from England 🏴, married a Canadian girl. How didn't like camping or fishing 😕, would not even go to the bathroom in the bush 🥺.Connie is one in a million, Lonnie is a lucky man 👍👍
Better stay single.
I'm a surfin hippy...there are chicks who camp and on a whim...just when there are kids, you better understand camping with kids is not as 'pick-up-and-go' able...
My wife went camping with me once in 8 years but had a book n her hand the whole time
Don't even think about leaving that spot, Lonnie and Connie. Creek beside you cooling your food.. water to drink... Why in God's name would you want to leave? I am super jealous. I envy you both. Lots of love from Ontario Canada. Blessings and best forever
2:30 "I'll go with ya, maybe we can get it all at once" !! She's a keeper, I would be struggling with those packs worse than they were!!
I absolutely adore you guys. Nothing like this channel. The passion and the beauty. Thank you very much for everything that you share!
Congratulations on the indoor cucumber vine. Connie, the way that y'all improvise and adapt removes any excuse we in the lower 48 have for not getting our hands in the soil and our bodies in the woods. I really admire the two of you.
Good lord Lonnie your pack is as big as you. God bless y’all
You are the most down to earth folks. It's a joy to follow such common sense style.
I lived with my husband now in heaven) at the foot of mountain 5,000 feet up. a true mountain man he lived in a teepee before me:)These videos are amazing and informative survival skills at its best!
Sorry I didn't see this until 4 days later. So look forward to every video you do as it's very informative as well as an adventure of one degree or another. Never tire of your videos! Thank you for all you do and may God continue to shower you with the blessings of being placed so we'll here in this life, health, and wealth of friendships!!!!
Absolutely brilliant Connie, so nice to see the woman behind the camera so much in front of the camera and for the both of you to have such good fun in your tarp tent. Great videos, including the one about Lonnie's use of toggles and their variants. You're both real good stars...!
Hi Lonnie and Connie. I'm really glad you had such a good time and the tent is holding up so well. Stay safe. ATB. Nigel
THANK YOU LONNIE AND CONNIE. HAVE WATCHED YOUR VIDEOS FOR YEARS NOW. YOU BUYS ARE AWEXOME.
I’m sure I’m not the only one who’s heart smiles the entire length of these videos. When you two are together, just enjoying a nice meal and time in the woods. “Peas in a pod” is just...fitting for you two. 👍🙏
Good to see the two of you complement each other on your camp-out; it's always a blessing. The food looked great Connie, my compliments to the chef. Rich Blessing to you both.
Glad you guys got one more camping trip out of that tent. That was a pretty nice setup, and Connie's meals looked wonderful. Thanks to both of you for taking us along!
Glad to see you and Connie had a good camp out.
I'm 62 and been having a couple of health issues. Living in Alaska like you guys was always a dream , but now being on my own makes me think twice. Glad to see you are a team. Right on! To be fair, I found your site due to Bushradical and Girl In The Woods...you all's dinner together was the best.
Far North Bushcraft And Survival will always be one of my favorite channels. Great knowledge being shared here.
52 years old and I’ve just learned how to lace boots one-handed, care of Lonnie. 🤣
I’ve never seen anyone do it that way before. Pretty cool.
What a nice detail! Good eye!
didn't catch it at first.
Stay safe you couple & best wishes! ;)
I don't think I've ever seen so much footage of Connie. She's usually behind the camera. She's so likeable!
Aww you 2 are lucky to have each other. Camping is so fun.
Another wonderful video with great tips and ideas as always. You're love for each other is so sweet to see. Bless you both.
That meal has made me hungry I bet that steak and gravy is amazing
Being able to grow something that you can eat is the best thing I can think of to be proud of. Being proud of the harmony between us and nature should be our collective goal.
There's no free nature left in my country, and it's hard to have respect for what you've never experienced. Thank you both for making these videos.
Great video! Stay safe out there.
I love when y'all do a video together of just doing camping/cabin stuff. Both of you are a hoot...love the humor! And, Connie...your hair is gorgeous...I can't believe how long it is now. I hope y'all keep putting out more videos like this one.
Another excellent video Lonnie and Connie 👍👍. FYI Gordon Ramsey has nothing on you Connie, you are a chef & a half 👏 . That looked Absolutely Delicious 😋😍
Lonnie and Connie thank you so much for sharing that wonderful camping trip. Really enjoy your videos. Connie.... your oven mitt🤣 it's great!
ALWAYS a pleasure to share your time in the backcountry.
Thanks 4 sharing your trip...knowing you got to get back to the house, food runs out and reality sets in...back to the grind... God Speed
Mmmm the meal looked great. you two are so down to earth, I love camping in the bush
I just searched you out after being away from your vids for a few years and I'm so encouraged to see new videos from you guys.
Welcome back.
nice camp all the way, and always good to see you two out in the woods, great cooking Connie!
I can always focus on the big picture of what you wish to get across. But the subtle things you guys show continue to fascinate me...for example, I just learned a quicker way to lace my boots. Thanks, Lonnie and Connie.
Who carries candles and a large garbage bag with their survival gear? I DO! Great vid. Thanks
A happy couple camping in the woods. Excellent video. My wife and I have three young kids, but we both love camping. Young kids make it a little more difficult, but a good plan makes for a whole lot of memories.
Thank you for the peace and quiet..
The love of being in your happy place..priceless quacker
That tarp held up very well. Great video, Thanks for inviting us along.
Thank you for sharing, Love it that you’ve grew the cucumber in your living room. Happy Days! Y’all are one of my favorites. 😊
I remember watching you two for the first time, then binge watching your previous videos -all along watching your videos mature (along with your beard!) until today, when I eagerly await your new videos. You two are awesome! I'm looking forward to watching you (hopefully!) for many more years to come. Keep up the great work!
I loved watching every minute of this.
3,6K "like" at the time I watch that video and NO dislike ! this is a Win
Great video. You two are just perfect. Love it.
My wife will not camp unless in a small Casita travel trailer. Of course, that’s not really camping, but it’s still fun.
I’ve lived on a river for many years. My absolute favorite camping is loading up my Jon boat, load a son and a grand child, and head up the river about 5 miles for an overnighter. Catch-clean-cook bream and catfish. Grands always ask, “Papa, don’t you think it’s about time to go up the river?”
Like you, we have a hidden spot that we call ours. In all these years, I’ve never seen evidence of being discovered.
Really really enjoyed your video. I just liked and subscribed.
With all the huffin' & puffin', gruntin & groanin' and carrying the camera so it was like it was being filmed through the eyes of some creature ... I thought for sure I was watchin' a horror flick. Just waitin' on the edge of my seat for a killer Sasquatch to show up and wreak havoc on you and the tent. MORE! MORE!! Those moving camera segments were hilarious!!! With your years in the woods. There's gotta be some great nighttime campfire stories you could film... I think you guys are the real thing. Thanks for being there.
Love watching your videos, non nonsense common sense and practical approach to living outdoors 👏👏👏 these skills should be taught at school 👍
Not to make short of your backwoods knowledge but, I'm more impressed by you and Connie's.... what's the word, Camaraderie? How you two understand and work/get a long together. It's quite impressive. Thanks for sharing.
Since I started cast iron cooking I quit measuring things.
That is a nice Burl on that tree, if you are going to abandon camp.. Oh well. Just a thought. Thank you for sharing the calm and quiet of your time in the world.
Beautiful video. Thank you to both of you. Best wishes from Ireland 🇮🇪 to you and your subscriber's
I've slept in a lot of shelters from a simple lean-to or tarp over a canoe to a friend's RV (big bus type). But my favourite is always camping in a tent with my wife. We're getting to the point it's harder to do but still enjoy it from time to time.
Thanks for sharing your trip with us L&C.
Cheers from New Brunswick, Canada...eh.
Oh yeah...I forgot making and sleeping in a quinzee...just out of curiousity...lol...much better than the poorly made leanto for winter camping? ;-)
Both of you guys are two tough cookies. And Connie looks like you do pretty good at cooking for just winging it!
Cutest couple ever. Stay wild you two. ❤️
Lonnie, you are fortunate, Connie looks like a very sweet woman, but she's also seems like she is as tough as they come.
👍 glad you guys don't have the hot and humid weather we have here on the east coast USA , I can't camp in this weather myself. Thanks for the video 👍
Something so peaceful about watching your videos! Thank you!
I love camping I'm just not able to go. I lived watching your videos and enjoy the bith of you.
Looks amazing, great camp, great couple, hope to watch many more of your video's
Connie, now I know why he brings you along, he don't want to eat his carbonized cooking. You make me hungry watching you cook!
Lonnie, you've got it made! If Connie doesn't find you handsome, she'll at least find you handy.
Thanks guys for taking us along. A lot of helpful hints. Like the camera work in this one. God Bless!
For anyone who wants to make this gravy. Quantity 2 tbspn flour will take 1 pint of liquid to give you gravy
You that's pretty much how my mom does it. Depending on the quanity will depend on how much you need to adjust the amount of flour an liquid. Grew up in a family of 6
@@JoeXTheXJuggalo1 the person who turned me into a chef was my grandmother ,it was standing with her in the Kitchen every chance I could , instead of doing the man things thats expected in our family because men Are outside getting oily and dirty, nope I with my gran, miss that lady so much. Good old fashioned cooking. You will never beat food from the heart
@@Sanderly1820 yeah I learned lots of cooking from my mom an an grandmothers. I did learn a few things from friends an other family as well
That's what I call a life well lived!
I am so depressive and lost in life that this channel reminds me how beautiful life can be.
If you have not seen our video that we did on how we find and experience peace, you may enjoy watching it and perhaps find it helpful. Connie and I are born again Christians and that is the source of our peace.

@@Far-North-Bushcraft-Survival Thank you Lonie, I did watch it 3 times I think I should watch it again to remind me where I am at. I am not a religious person when comes to churches or priests, but I do pray sometimes with all the honesty and hope someone can hear me.
I didn't want to get dramatic about my situation, I just wanted to thank you for the content, it brings me with my feet on the ground and I can only be thankful for that.
Connie is awesome.....well...you both are...thanks for sharing my friends..
Watched this video a couple times now and I have to say, you guys are so cute together! Love affordable camps that are just simple. Great video!
I appreciate the old school frame pack. Meant for heavy hauling. Thank you for the shout-out. Best ideas are the ones you share. Glad that worked out for you. Gina and I are getting ready for our annual two-week car camping trip to one of our National Parks/ Thank you for sharing Lonnie and Connie
Enjoy Your trip. Will be looking forward to seeing some videos from there.
I can smell the rice cooking, I am not kidding. Another great video.
Next could be, a very huge roof basha, a roll of paracord, and some Hammocks under. Windshields from wood, and a nice day with some coffee, café wild roof!
Hi Lonnie and Connie......I have been lovin your channel for years and I must say you have become actual filmakers ! Great editing and storytelling. As usual the content is educational. I've lived vicariously through your adventures especially during the lockdown here in the northeast .Thanks a million.
I have made a slingshot... a stove from a can and other things I remember only from girl scouts that you've done vids about. ...and Connie is my mentor as well with innovative camp cooking...like stuffed bannock on a rock! Thanks again. Wow....glad you managed that tree that fell on your cabin ! I love steamed bread....I do that now on my kitchen stove the way you do on your campstove. Thanks again.
That was awesome trip you And your wife make an excellent team God bless you always
Connie's heavy pack can only mean 1 thing... gonna be an awesome dinner 🥳😺🤣😹🤪
You have beautiful live nothing luxurious simple and your neighbor is mother's nature nothing going to bite that stay safe friends
It made me happy to watch. Glad to see it was a roll of TP and not some birch bark haha.
Good to see y'all Lonnie and Miss Connie. Happy 4 th . That Cuke was something to be proud of Miss Connie, I heard that they are nearly impossible to grow up there !
Looks good. I make gravy all the time using drippings, sausage, or other meat using just flour and water. Salt to taste. If not enough fat I add butter. Tastes delicious. No milk needed.
The milk is used primarily as a flavor enhancer.
Love your content, filmography, and how you guys are just real..nothing sensory overloadish and flashy.
FANTASTIC to see you both! Hope and pray you are well. Keep up the adventures and instructions!@
This has to be one of the coolest channels I came across on YT. Found it because I didn't feel like buying a $100 colloidal silver kit. lol. Found your instructional on how to make your own CS and then fell into the rabbit hole. You are the coolest couple ever!
Welcome to the channel and thanks for the kind words.
Thanks for taking us along on your camping trip!
Love your videos. I miss camping, my husband died over 25 years ago and I've only been camping a few times since. My daughter is just not into camping. Getting too old to camp by myself. You videos are the next best thing. Your videos were the first "outdoors" videos I subscribed to, I've watched your beard grow. Lol
I had a similar though to, a few years back,, while I lay in the Forrest waking up.
I'm I getting to old for this, but a few days later I read about a guy who was in his late 60ties making a shot with his camera of a white deer.
He slept in the woods in a small tent, that moment change my attitude about age and camp out.
Hope you can enjoy it more in the future.

@@sosteve9113 Thank you, here's to hoping we can still enjoy the outdoors to the best of our ability in the future.

Nice campout. Love you guys
Connie, I think you got the short end if the stick.
You cooked the meal and did the dishes.
You should have made Lony do the dishes, on the other hand men can screw that up too, 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Miss you guys. Hope you're both doing well. 😁🏕🌲
Yes we are doing fine now. We have a video that will hopefully be uploaded and released tomorrow.
