    Hello,
    At 0:38, I mentioned that the radius from the last tutorial was 26”. I meant to say that the circumference was 26” not the radius. Please forgive the error. 🙏🏿

      @yoziggy5356 2 роки тому

      So your circumference would always be your waist measurement right ?

    • @GraceyStitches
      @GraceyStitches  2 роки тому

      @@yoziggy5356 yes, IF you want the peplum to be round your waist
      Otherwise, the circumference will always be the measurement round the area where you intend to sew the peplum.
      Par exemple - if you want it at the hem of your skirt, the measurement round the hem of your skirt will be your circumference

    So genius, so different from how I usually sew, which is without any math because I'm not great w math. But maybe if I keep watching these videos it will all become more clear.

    You have just taught me better than anyone. Thank you so much. I totally get it now. Love the measurements. My only question is can you use these same measurements for every sized woman? I am a size 10-12 but my best friend is a size 6-8... Another friend of mine is a size 14-16.
    How will the measurements for the peplum change by size?
    Thank you for your answer...

      Hi. I’m glad you love the video.
      Okay let’s assume you want to make a skirt for yourself and your friends; measure around your waists - this will be the radius. The formula remains the same as long as you have a radius. The length varies based on preference.
      I hope this is helpful 😊

    Wow ur too much , u made me understand this better buh if u want to pleat ur peplum how many inches do u add in each full flare?

    • @GraceyStitches
      @GraceyStitches  Рік тому

      It depends on how many pleats you want and how wide you want it.
      For 1 pleat with 3" width, that'll be extra 6"
      For 1 pleat with 4" width, you'll need extra 8"
      You can use this for the calculation
      Good luck!

    • @GraceyStitches
      @GraceyStitches  3 роки тому +1

      For any of the flares, once you calculate your radius, add your desired flare length to it. That’s what you’ll use to fold your fabric
