10th generation dairymen put this or similar system in. He said with multiple people milking this adds more consistent udder prep. Also key is the chemical strength and as you say dispensing. Mark fill level of containers weekly with a marker. Might be an indicator of dispensing issue.

About your water and pressure problems. Low flow in the borehole?
There are farms that have larger water tanks, even old milk tanks of 10-15 cubic meters as reservoirs. Boreholes fill the tank and the pump that pressurizes farms takes out of the tank.

Put in the original cable driven system years ago, made such a difference my brother who slated it had to put one in his parlour 😂 it didn't have the light in those days so I added my own and suggested it to nothern and within a year they had added it. Fantastic for drying cows off!! Run them back through the parlour at the end of milking turn up the perasitic acid and tube them straight after brushing . Never had a post dry off infection and such a time saver 👍 One suggestion, singe the hair off the bottom of the cows udders stops the brushes pulling on them and greatly reduces cows fidgeting, makes a huge difference 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

    Thanks for the video Tom.
It was great seeing the cows get miked and the new brush looks great. When you where talking about the amount of different steps and how much back and forth you had cut out then when Father talked about would you go back to the wheel barrel for the sawdust and how much faster end easier to get more milk with less time and energy. The only thing I kept thinking about was WoW that’s why GreatGrandmas Mom had 12 to 20 children was they needed that much help on the farm. Hahahahha crazy thought but great video. Thanks for sharing your farm ✌️💚🖖

@@JudyHart1 yep and in my grandmas time 1906-1996 she saw a lot of things change during her time as a one room school teacher. She started teaching at age 14 right after she graduated from the 8th grade. She kept at it till she retired and after retirement she substitute taught for another ten years or more. She literally saw the first lightbulb, the phone, ice box to refrigerator, both world wars, the race riots of the 50’s and 60’s integration in public schools, and everything else up to the internet. All my aunts and uncles at Christmas one year asked her if she gave up all the modern conveniences what one thing would she want to keep? She said running water in the house. She hated the TV except for the Johnny Carson show. So I don’t think she would have enjoyed UTube and all the nonsense.

You might be able to take some of the hand weight off using the scrubber by putting the cable over your shoulder with a slight sag in front of you, or at least using the other hand to hold the cable. That's a beefy cable and moving and dragging it around with one outstretched arm is hard on the shoulders, arm and wrist.

Hi Tom, your cows are looking well. You have a nice classification of a cow. Great udders 😊

All this new tech! You are doing such good things for the cows and for the happiness of your team too, mustn't forget how hard they all work with you, especially with the building work and necessary disruptions. Crack on with those grants for the calf building and the robotpusherupperthingy next :D

45 minutes a day saved is so massive. You can do so much with that extra time including spending time with Harvey. Little improvements are so helpful.
