amazing vid.. i tried playing recently and got sad because of how it felt compared to bf3 and 4.. man... good times... i really hope the next bf is good and worth our wait, because if its not im probably done woth fps games
I really appreciate you :D Battlefield 3 & 4 are some of my all time favorite shooters, I have so many hours in them. I give up completely on BF if the next game is bad
The fact that I'm seeing 2 great CC in your comment section (Timeless Gamer and The Cosmonaut) proves me that this video is, in fact, a hidden gem ! So here's the third one :D Keep going dude, you'll blow up someday !
Yeah I'm very surprised they found and watched the video, and took the time to comment is wild. Thats pretty cool of them. I also appreciate you taking the time to view and comment. Thank you for the kind words
I'm glad to hear someone say they gave it a second chance, I personally think 2042 is in really good shape now (hold on to your torches before you burn me as a heretic), a few points to consider beyond the ones you made: 1) they really sorted out the vehicles, and introduced some great new ones. They're reactive, fast paced and APS adds to the strategy now everyone's got it (except the MAV... why?!) 2) Air power is a lot more balanced now. If you get farmed by a Nightbird, that is 100% on you and your team. 3) We got some good infantry only maps now, personally not my thing but I'm happy for those who enjoy it I went back and played the older BFs, and honestly the only one which today (not assessed as a product of its time) can rival is BFV. BF1 back in the day was amazing but it's old now and has very questionable mechanics (sniper sweet spot?). I've heard people argue BF4 is better (today and as the games stand, not then)... sorry, no way. That's just pure nostalgia kicking in there. For me Gears of War will always be the best game ever, but I know that's the young man back in 2005 who was blown away speaking. I think a lot of the BF community are suffering the same. Thanks for the vid, enjoyed hearing your POV.
Vehicles are much better now I agree with you! The infantry maps and mode is something I forgot to touch on completely but yeah the close quarter conquest mode is good for infantry as well. I went back and played BFV lately and it's much more enjoyable I just really miss the format and layout of BF3/4. I'm excited to see where it goes and if dice will mess it up.. Gears of War is amazing I cannot wait for that new game. I grew up with the gears game and it's one of my favorite franchises. I miss the old Halo as well. I really appreciate your comment and checking out my video! I wish you a good day :)
@@DarkbloomVisIn previous BF’s I was all about the big map vehicle sandbox chaos, if I was loosing as infantry I would jump in tanks, choppers or jets to help bring the balance back shit sometimes I would spend a whole round in a transport chopper just dropping the team at points and letting my gunners rack or kills. Or if the enemy team was dominating with vehicles I would go full engineer and spend the match taking them But I just can’t do this in 2042, trying to take out vehicles on your own is the most painful experience I’ve had in BF and literally nobody on 2042 plays as a squad/team and I’ve never got on driving the vehicles in 2042 they always just felt so light and gimmicky so I tend now to stick to infantry focused gameplay on smaller maps. I will say though as disappointing as 2042 was I still have heaps of fun, I’ve just gone back after a spell on WZ and it’s like returning to an old friend, the gunplay feels so crisp and consistent compared to the COD netcode roulette.
I own every Battlefield game except Hardline. I tend to play 5 and 2042 the most for population reasons with one on occasions. All three currently installed
I gave it a try as well. My input is that there's too many vehicules on some maps, too many gimmicks like the hacking dude, flying squirrels chick, the one shot kill impenetrable dozer shield and the list goes on.
Yeah I'm not a huge fan on the "hero shooter" setup they went with. It's a major flaw with this game that the class system being added can't fix. The gameplay is fun, but the direction they took with this one is oooof
@@DarkbloomVis very much agree! Its also missing that map changing event, like a falling skyscraper, dam being exploded, a massive dish falling down. Now all we get is a neon sign falling. Even hardline had it better than this
No matter how many bugs are fixed. Game is rotten to the core. What make this game is like shit is core gameplay, not bugs, graphics etc. Let me tell you the problems that I've come accross. 1. No server browser. 2. Specialist system fucked up the gameplay. Flying squirrel and wannabe spiderman are breaking the game no matter how much they nerfed in nearly every patch. Don't forget the spaniard with rocket stopping shield. 3. Gun mechanics and TTK. Only attachment you need is what increases the weapon RPM. Nothing else. You can engage in any distance with any weapon in gunfights. All weapons feel like airsoft guns. 4. Absence of class locked weapons system makes classes absolutely pointless. Recons with SMGs and assaults with sniper rifles are common. 5. All open no cover camper paradise maps. You run and run to get a gunfight but you only die tired to a sniper. 6. No proper destruction mechanics. Plywood is enough to stop 7.62 mm rounds (!). 7. Laughable rocket, missile, shell splash damage. 8. Third person melee animations (Man BF1's melee animations are the most brutal things one can ever see in a combat game). 9. Live service itself. 10. No campaign. 11. Millenial writing. 12. Its existence.
Yeah this hits it right on the mark. The sound design is also just awful. Completely downgraded from previous entries. All the points you made are accurate. The "hero" abilities are a joke. Let's hope they get it right in the next one.

This entire video is a mood with Battlefield and I feel it

glad you enjoy it. hope next bf is as good as this one that many enjoy wholeheartedly
I've been having a blast on it.
Hell yeah what class you use the most?
Here’s hoping the next one is simply good
Fingers and toes crossed that the game isn't another flop

Battlefield is just such a fun franchise (for the most part). Hardline was hated when it released but I enjoyed it for what it was.

Have fun :)
