Easy tip for the ferro, hold the striker stationary and pull the rod back towards you. This makes it much easier to control the space where the sparks are going and prevent you from knocking over your stove or tinder. If the back blunt side of your knife blade is square enough, you can also use that as your striker and leave the little one at home for one less thing to bring and/or lose.
Thanks for the tips, I’ll put them to use. I tried with my knife but it wasn’t sparking. It does have a slight round to the backing
I have the same GSI scraper and it’s great and lightweight. But if you don’t own one, you can always use some soft spruce branches. This way you’re not damaging the coating of your pot.
Just don’t go bushwhacking looking for a perfect tree, a couple of small pieces that’s all you need!
The branch trick works great too, but I find I just get little bit of bark in my pot as I’m cleaning it. I’m pack some kd on my next trip and I’ll bring the scraper for the clean up after!
What I like about these budget gears is that you forage them for free in some locations. 😂
That’s above my pay grade 😂
Spyderco Ladybug/Manbug is a great proper UL knife
Those would be a great option, I got the Delica 4 since I made this video
Yep great pillow. My daughter loves it! Subscribed
Thanks! Like I said in the video, why doesn’t anyone talk about?😅 it’s so comfy!
@@dakotacoburn not sure. I have tried about 10 pillows now and that one was one of the best. I need to do a pillow video.
@@alpineearth Just subscribed to you, if you make that video I'll check it out!
@@dakotacoburn hey thanks!
great stuff, nicely pulled together. I have never fund a blow up pillow that I like, this one looked like it might tick a view boxes. How does it go for noise? I always find them too loud. Mozzie head net is on the to-do list for this summer, cheers! ✌🏻
Thanks man! Yeah I find the pillow pretty quiet, the cloth on the outside gets rid of that rubbery sound. Jealous you guys are going into summer, feels like ours has just started😂
Love your vids, keep em coming
Thank you! That comment means a lot to me, I’m not stopping!
Just purchased the larger version (XL) of the pillow, it feels like I'm sleeping in my bed. Regarding the knife, I'm not sure that this life with quick-open is officially legal in Canada, even if it is easily available, it may be considered a prohibited weapon.
Great items. Well done. New follower here. Crow✌️
Thanks Crow I appreciate it, looking forward to seeing you around!
