Not being able to land rejumps is what made me drop the game upon their discovery and integration into regular play. I was really really serious about the game even if I wasn't the best and I was struggling to keep up with the curve already, but when rejumps were introduced to the game I really put my best foot forward into learning them. After spending a solid three hours in training mode I only landed one per hour and it was extremely demoralizing. This video brought me back and trying to learn them again because of how well explained everything is, but I'm still struggling a lot and it feels pretty bad. I don't think I've quit quite just yet but man does this suck to get down.
They really do suck to get down that's for sure but luckily they're really not needed. Sure they give some optimal options and corner carry but they aren't needed. For me, the kicker is that dash jump phase, phase 3. When I practice this, I spend most of my time practicing phase 3 because it truly sucks. I feel like if you can get that jm, into the dash jump (668) then you're golden. Admittedly I'm still working on this myself as I tend to drop it 7/10
@@InsertCoin21 Personally I struggle with Phase 2. I can dash jump off the ground easily since it's something I used to do a lot when I played the game normally. I played a lot of Android 16, so dash jumping to either apply pressure with normals while the opponent was airborne or to land a cheeky reset air grab. The timing of the M after air dash is really hard for me and I usually end up doing it too early. The first step with the delayed super dash is a little inconsistent too, but I fail that part not nearly as little as phase two. Worst part is, whenever I actually hit phase 2, I'm so used to not hitting it that I forget to input the dash and the jump for phase 3!
@@SuperSonic-vs2jw oh awesome thats great because phase two can be worked on. First make sure this rujump is even possible for the character you're trying it on. normally its phase 2 that changes for a select few in the cast like a21 lab coat for example. while this rejump is good for most of the cast, it doesn't work for all. that's the first thing we want to clear up. try it for ssj goku and see if you can land it. next, try to input 66 when the SD connects. There is a tiny pause when you connect with the SD, try inputting the 66 there. once you visually see the iad then put the M.
Yea 1 year later and I'm going threw the same exact thing! Dropped the game once i couldnt do rejumps and now I'm back and I'm more lost than ever with this smh i dont even know what a dash jump is😭😭@@SuperSonic-vs2jw
I was stuck on when I was supposed to do the superdash. Your tip on pressing it in tandem with the white effect from the wallbounce saved me hours. Thank you so much!
I’ve been scouring UA-cam for a rejump tutorial and all videos are either to fast or have no audio explanation, and they don’t really break down the inputs Thank you for making the best tutorial on rejumps out there and for throwing in the “how to practice” advice, huge plus. @@EosIso*cough* sadly, no. I tried it for a bit, but somethings not connecting. I'm trying to learn this for Vegito, who's mid-screen rejump (so, not corner variant) I'm literally seeing in this year's Frosty Faust. I understand the core principles. 5H > Delayed SD (while they are as low to the ground as possible off splat) > Air dash to disable auto correct > j.M > 669 on landing for rest of rejump. was unable to do them for weeks and gave up learning completely DId one by accident, didnt try more because it was a fluke woke up able to do them around 80% of the time
Wow I've been playing this game for 4 years since this game has been out. I've been okay but I actual understand most the timing on how to do a rejump. Granted I've still stuck on phase 3 but with some characters that can kind of cheat like 16 since he a big boy and Trunks with adding his flips to a rejump. This was super helpful though and apricate guides like these. Might have to look at your 21 rejump guide for her as well but Thanks a bunch

Does the super dash button hold still work for the rejump part? im doing it that way but i just cant hit the jL, theyre too high and flip out. The 669 way and the jL doesnt hit even though im literally floating in front of them.
I don't get why I can't a rejump ( phase 3) even tho im doing inputs correctly and i tried doing it without the combo and was able to get the long jump as intended. So what is it im doing wrong in the part that follows Jm?
I stg I’m tripping I literally cannot input the actual rejump part, he’s always too high or he techs out too fast and my jL misses, I even hit a long jump and still miss it even when timing it right on the wall? Am I silly or did they patch it out???
Bruh im not new to the game i’ve been playing it for months and I mastered every special rejump combo AKA every rejump that doesn’t require dash jump i even did the freaking gblack rejump heck I even made vegito rejump that requires dash jump without dashjump but I still can’t do this one time just once “WHAT THE FUCK”
@@TheOnlyLuPayne for this, you just want to double tap forward but dont do it too early otherwise the game will eat the command (meaning the game wont register one, or both of the inputs). try waiting till you see the SD Make contact with them, then double tap forward followed by the JM.
This is actually very well explained and i encourage players to not give up too early. It is so satisfying to learn.
lol thanks buddy i appreciate the kind words!
Whenever i get far in it the opponent recovers before i even get the chanve to finish my dash jump even after dash buffer
