- On 22nd and 23rd November 2021, Rugby League legend Kevin Sinfield set out on an epic challenge to run 101 miles in 24 to raise money to support two great causes.
Donations will be split equally between the Leeds Hospitals Charity appeal to build the Rob Burrow Centre for MND supporting people living with MND and their families, and the MND Association which funds multi-disciplinary care delivered at the Centre and others across the country, as well as research into potential treatments for the disease.

This should be compulsory viewing up and down the land. Integrity. Resilience. Charity. Friendship. Kevin Sinfield is one of the leading role models in this country.

Untill recently, I had no idea who Rob Burrows is? My sister has MND...I was told to watch the BBC documentary on Rob and his condition....What a game changer, and what a lovely guy he is, I'm learning more about this terrible condition, the emotional roller coaster watching that person change....

Respect. He does this for love of his best mate not for anything else. He deserves every bit of respect that the world can give him and Rob deserves every bit of love.
I am ashamed to admit it, and due to the fact being born and bred in RU, South Wales, I have never heard of Rob and Kevin. But since Rob's condition being broadcast on the BBC and his interview with Doddie Weir and Steve Harper, the two are not only Rhino legends, but sporting legends as well. Also, the Rhinos, have a gained a new supporter.
No shame in that mate I don’t think many league fans would have heard of Ed Slater before his diagnosis but as rugby fans we’ll be supporting him in his battle against this awful disease

A sports legend, a mental hard bugger, to put his body through the physical and mental anguish two years in succession for he best mate and former team mate is the stuff legends are made of.
Just hours after getting home from a 101 mile run inside 24 hours and his thoughts are what can I do next year to raise more money for the MND charity?
How much longer before Her Majesty taps those broad shoulders with a sword making him a Knight of the realm?
What can he do next year?
Whatever it is, former playing team mates will turn out again to help and support him.
Hopefully little Rob will be there when he crosses the line.
And my wife and I will be in tears again.

Wow. Just fucking wow. I’m full of so much admiration I can’t put it into words. But to see the power of male friendship and how deeply it can be felt. It’s amazing. I honestly feel despite what we’re conditioned to think a true friendship means more to men than women.

This month I am doing the 15000 steps for the MNDA 🧡💙 I met rob and his family last year so when this challenge came up on Facebook I had to do it I’ve met some lovely people in the group and raised some money as every little will help people like Kevin sinfield are inspirational and he’s a big name in the rugby world god bless you Kevin sinfield you inspired me 🧡💙

Amazing, Kev and all those who put in these efforts. I’ve kept an eye on it as a rugby league fan and it sends a special message about togetherness and team spirit during difficult times. It’s no surprise to me as a fan of a different team in super league to see the immense effort and sense of brotherhood between Kev and players from that golden period for Leeds. And Rob himself is fighting the biggest battle of all. I wish them all the best and my full respect. The sports itself is not only behind you all, the nation is!

Hes a machine is king kev like he says he not a runner so to do 7 in 7 was some achievement but to do 101 mile in 24hr is super human and i love the bit where keith senioris running and kev keeps farting and keith says u know when kevs farting coz is shoulders start going and kev says some things never change thats what rob said to keith in dressing room on band of brothers game

Videos like this should be shown in gym classes across schools because if this isn't inspirational, then someone please show me what is. If this man doesn't get knighted for his service to MND charity, then no one deserves to be knighted again. Ive said it on previous posts not only is he an inspiration, rugby legend, hes the best kind of friend a person could ever want or need and thats priceless at times when life is hard just an incredible human who always comes across so humble.... can i just point out that rugby players should be in the same pay level as footballers especially with all the evidence associated with MND... if there was more money in the sport there'd be better support. I know rugby players who have played for the british lions who are now builders since retiring and thats a disgrace. They should be financially set for life after their dedication to the sport.
