I am showing the way to change Canon shutter curtain, Look my other UA-cam.
Leica and Canon are able to use same shutter curtain,

It is sewn after glued.

They are shutter ribbon.
Shutter does not work without them.
For repair it, glue is not good, need newly replace.

Question, when replacing the curtains do i set speed to 1/1000 and set curtain so theres a 1mm slit?

Shutter speed doesn't matter, every speed are okey, even 1/1000 or 1/500 , 1/100.
and when glue the curtain, make the overlap 2mm.
Watch again this video carefully.

Can you please tell us if that dimensions is correct (i mean default - from factor) for leica iiif Black Dial?
For curtains:
9.7cm x 3.1cm
7.0cm x 3.1cm
For ribbons:
3.1cm all four of them.

2nd curtain 3.2x10.0 cm

It might have a problem of structure to stop reverse rotation.
But not sure, sorry.

From March, Japan post does not ship by standard air to almost EU, USA and many other countries.
I can't ship UK, Germany, France, USA, Canada, Australis and many countries now.
and I have withdrawn my eBay listing.
It's very sad situation for us.
I will re-list when this problem is cleared.
