Beautiful and so helpful. If someone wanted a set of four it would take days to make them. I love how it all blends so nicely. Thank you for sharing this video.
Hi! Great video! Beautiful!! Have you ever had a problem with the resin popping off? I realize these should be hand wash only. I have not ever had that happen but it was brought to my attention that it can. do you have any thoughts on this?
I really love this. I tried a similar thing after watching this, but I found my inks really faded after only a couple of weeks. Did I buy cheap inks, or is this something that happens?
Goodness, I don't know. I've had at least one sitting in the sun and heat for well over a year that still looks good, so perhaps it was the inks. When you say you did something similar, you did use resin, correct?
@@mwaldo97 Yes, that's right. I pretty much followed you step for step BUT I am very new to resin so I was using some cheap inks I got off Amazon. Not the Pinata ones that you did. I wonder if that made a difference? I was gutted, I loved what I made and now it's just this hidous smudgy pinky colour. Fortunately it was just a cheap Ikea vase I practised on. :)
We live in an old farmhouse on a gravel road and battle dust constantly. The heat guns blow dust particles into the resin so my preference is the torch.
Hi Helen, I'm sorry you had trouble with your project! It's hard saying what happened there. Did you have it on a cup turner that spun fast enough to keep the resin on the cup? Did you make sure to measure both parts of your resin according to the instructions on the resin you used? Did you give it the appropriate amount of time to cure before stopping the cup turner? Those are just a few ideas I can think of that might help troubleshoot.
@@waldogermanshepherddogssud2005 Not sure how fast the cup turner needs to go??.. I think I measured the resin properly, I'm new at this, !.. the resin started dripping off when I added the drops of dye
@@helenmiller7753 without being able to see what happened, it's really hard to tell from here. It's possible that your cup turner is too slow. It's possible that you put so much resin on the cup that it couldn't hold it all. To test your cup turner, I would just place a drop of water on a cup (while it's spinning) and watch it. It should make the drop of water stay on the cup as the cup goes around. If it drips off, your turner is likely too slow. I had a friend who had this issue with the cup turner she purchased. If the water drip stays on the cup, I would guess that perhaps it was just too much resin.

So gorgeous....looks like ocean waves!
These are gorgeous!!!
Thank you so very much!
Hola una consulta como se mantiene un vaso con resina, es decir. Que cuidados y como se limpian cuando es usado
It is SO important that you wear a breather. The fumes are incredibly toxic, and they will mess up your lungs permanently. Please be safe :)
Great video

I have not experienced this, but it could potentially happen
Thank you!

BEAUTIFUL
Lovely Ma’am 😍
Lovely glass! I am going to try this! Do you put a finish layer of epoxy or is it done after the ink goes on?
Hi Trudy. You sure could, but I do not.
I'd say yes,a final seal coat cause you've added inks or whatever. Really helps to make it safer.
Do you put any more layers of resin after that?
No, just the one layer
@Moments with Missa and with only one layer you can wash the glass repeatedly without messing it up?
@@halimabronson8817 It hasn't messed up yet. If you don't feel comfortable with just one, you could always add more.
@@mwaldo97 thank you hun
@@halimabronson8817 no problem! Feel free to reach out any time you have any questions.
Does the resin leave a noticeable edge/line near the top of the glass where you didn’t put any?
Yes, there is a ridge
Have you ever sprayed or sprites your cup with alcohol? You will be surprised by the results.
Yes, I tried for removing microbubbles and it left fishes.
I'm not a fan at all.
you probably know this, but a heat gun works nicely with resin/inks
We live in an old farmhouse on a gravel road and battle dust constantly. The heat guns blow dust particles into the resin so my preference is the torch.
Do you put a clear coat on top?
I typically do not.
Do you have a supply list. I really like how you make these
I use a 2 part resin, alcohol inks and a torch for heating up the resin.
I tried this but it all just dropped straight off, what did I do wrong

Thank you, I didn't clean the glass first, so I will try again later, thank you for your tips and help
Can you tell me what the machine is called please that turns the glass
It's a cup turner.
where do you get that machine that turns the glass around?
This one I ordered from Amazon.
@@mwaldo97 whats d name of d machine?
How much resin do you use?
I typically make up about 10ccs. Don't always use it all. I just use enough to get a nice layer on the area of the cup I want covered.
How do you fix if you end up with a bare spot?
You could add another layer of resin later, but I think it would make it too thick.
What kind of resin do you use?
Hi Kathy, I believe at the time I was using art n glow resins. Right now I'm using ALE (a little extra) and loving it.
What is the resin mixed with
Alcohol inks are dripped into the resin
So much of this could've been sped up...we don't need to watch 6 mins if u torching
Thank you so much. There’s also fast forward! 🤣
You don't have to be a jerk ither but there you are😂
