Sadly Steam doesn't record actual playtime, it records the time the application is active on your computer, so if you click the close game on the window but not end the exe or stop the application correctly, steam will log the time its still back loaded on your computer. There's many players on Steam with 6k+ hours, but most likely have more around 1k-2k hours at most from actual playtime.
13k on Xbox One ASE, 8k on PC ASE, and I'm about to reach my first thousand on PC ASA. Been playing this lil dino survival game with a warcrime of a character creation system since early access in 2015. And yet, the only thing I have to show for it is a reputation of being the most creative builder and most efficient breeder on any server I play on. Also, screw official servers. They are toxic, filled with griefers and trolls, and largely unmoderated. Find an unofficial server cluster with good admins and discord server and you will never get bored.

@TheRealRyuko these days I see ps5s in stores and it doesn't feel real.. months after they came out I had to buy mine online for an extra $100... and the console isn't even good. It's the ps4 if it wasnt loud and was a little faster... if the graphics are better I hardly notice

ASA could be better if It had more maps. But without the different maps just playing the one it gets incredibly boring.

I got into Evolved at the tail end of it and still managed to rack up hundreds of hours, I'm sure my Ascended playtime will be in the thousands.
70 hours but I stopped playing it a while ago cause I couldn't find high level rexes for the boss fight
I’m at about 4.6k now. just got ark Asa and upgraded my gpu to a rtx 3080 and am hyped
between ASE and ASA, 1,112 hours on steam, 1,043 combined hours on XBox, and god only knows how many thousands of hours on Ps4. 2,155 confirmed hours.
Taming dinos and creatures takes a hour like theri and other creatures probably cause it took me a hour taming one in ark mobile
