This was a great tutorial! Straight to the point and exactly what I was looking for. Just created an account with you guys rather than Podcastle. Thanks for the help!
So glad we could help! Reach out if you have any more questions
Nice 🎉
Appreciate it!
Very nice!
Appreciate it!
amazing
Thank you!
On your screen share area there. How do you get that background behind the two cameras and the screenshare? Nice video!
That's in the Riverside editor! You can upload a custom background image (that's what I did).
Can you have multiple guests using Riverside?
I despise editing..(mostly because NO editing software moves as fast as I believe it should.) I came form the Amiga World..I did everything LIVE with a Genlock and planned it as it should go and thats that!
Doing things live is a great strategy for sure!
super useful insight into your process - thanks Stephen
Glad it was helpful!
How do you do your thumbnails, after you post? Also if you've got an intro for branding, how do you add that?
You can upload custom thumbnails in UA-cam during the upload process, and if you have an intro, in the Riverside editor there's a + button at the beginning and end of the timeline. Click that to upload a custom file (video or audio) and it will become the intro! You can also place in clips anywhere along the timeline after splitting the timeline.
How can I add multiple mirrorless cameras to my recording? I understood how to do it with cellphones with the app, but can’t find how to do it with a camera.
Unfortunately there's no way to do that directly in Riverside right now. You can use a video switcher, like the ATEM Mini, but the live camera will be all that's recorded.
Please assist with settings to have the video and sound syncing using Rodecaster Pro 2. Mine doesn't sync. I always have to edit with FCPX after each recording.
What video source are you using? Webcam, mirrorless, video switcher?

Thank you for sharing your process. Definitely inspiring and gives me some ideas on how to improve my workflow for the codeFellowship podcast.
Glad it was helpful and gave you some ideas!
What's the iPhone holder you're using on the tripod?
On the laptop it's the Belkin MagSafe mount for continuity camera. Otherwise the clip is a Joby clip with tripod!
Is the audio on the video exports at a better quality now? It used to be noticeably worse than grabbing the audio and syncing it in post.
I find it to be great quality. All the audio, in every video on this channel was direct export from Riverside: www.youtube.com/@primarytechshow
Editing isn't all that bad. And while I have a plan, guests usually through a wrench in with 30 sec. So I am editing anyway.
Editing isn't a bad thing, for sure! But for those who edit lots of content in a week, we try to provide tools to expedite the process!
Is this something I can integrate with zoom or meets to record webinars and convert into shorts?
No need to use zoom or meets. You can host the live webinar on Riverside, record in high quality, and turn it into shorts
stephen, i read your article about the 9 best bluetooth microphones and wanted to contact you and this is the only way i found, i have a hearing problem and recently bought a bone conduction head set which i use to listen to my tv via bluetooth and it has just virtually made my hearing like new when watching tv, but i wanted to ask if you know of any bluetooth mike that i could put on a table or pin to my clothing and bluetooth it to my head set in order to listen to everyone in the room as my $6000 hearing aids just dont do the job good enough and this bone headset for $50 dollars is really life changing for me and just want to try something else. jeff
Hi Jeff, appreciate you reaching out! I don't know of many mic that connect via bluetooth in the way you're describing, and this is a more expensive option, but the DJI Mic 2 is made to connect via Bluetooth to a phone. It may work in your situation, but I can't guarantee. Amazing has a solid return policy if it doesn't end up working though: amzn.to/3Ubauh7
I tried this but with riverside, I can’t dereverb. I have a lot of options in audition. I use rodecaster pro 2 with processing but I still get some minor room echo and noise. Riverside only normalizes and reduces noise. Thoughts?
Premiere has a de-reverb effect. Riverside has a very nice export to Premiere feature that creates a timeline for you and all the source files will be synched up. Then apply de-reverb effect to the track that needs it.
Export to Premiere is a great option too!
Have you tried our new Magic Audio feature? You can see it in action here! ua-cam.com/video/dgOEwLTZ41M/v-deo.htmlsi=YjYxkx2-kjAAUdUV
@@Riversidefm I'll give it a go! Wasn't sure if it helped or hurt. You guys are doing wonderful work! I just have to keep improving my rodecaster settings. I like the idea of doing it all in Riverside for a simplier process.
@@Riversidefm Yes, I usually do this. Great point! I just want to keep it all in Riverside with less steps.
is the sync audio problem solved?
I wonder ….. 2
Definitely not. Every time I try to make shorts, my audio is off sync from the very start. I always have to edit the whole show, then upload the resulting video to riverside and make the short that way.
@@Soloskillz hm…. 🤨 strange they wont fix ?
@riverside. please fix the audio synch problem. with a timecode or whatever. the software is great but unusable with drifting audio...
We've been working hard on the sync issue. Let us know your hardware setup and I'll share with the team to analyze.
