Mythical Pokémon are generally classified as Pokémon that require, at least in their debut games, an external method, either a direct distribution or an event item, to be obtained. Starting with ORAS, some Mythical Pokémon have become available in-game, but they're exceptions that still required events to be obtained back in their debut games. And yes, they *are* a separate group from Legendary Pokémon; the Western translators just took until Generation 5 to acknowledge/understand the difference.
They're all just rare, one of kind Pokemon you can get once per game. Unless you hack of course. To me, they're something I'm always glad about getting just for the sake of getting something that's one-of-a-kind. Looking forward to when you get to Lockstin's Pokemon Types Explained videos. @@madnessarcade7447 They all *started out* as event exclusives. Lockstin is wrong: the two terms have always existed separately in Japan, it just took the translators ages for some stupid reason to acknowledge or understand the difference.
