    The Twentieth Tradition
On the authority of ‘Abd-Allāh bin Mas‘ūd who said, ‘The Prophet ﷺ entered Mecca, whilst the Ka‘bah was surrounded by three hundred and sixty idols. (The Prophet) ﷺ thereby began to prod them with a wooden stick that was in his hand whilst saying, ‘Truth has come and falsehood has perished; for verily falsehood is bound to perish.’ [17/al-Isrā: 81] ‘Truth has come and falsehood neither originates nor restores.’ [34/Sheba: 49]
    [al-Bukhārī and Muslim]
