Pet was on an amazing streak of hits...this was merely one of MANY!!! ....and written, by the great Tony Hatch ain't too shabby either! This was one I needed to stretch...hope you enjoy it!
Wonderful and feminine voice. One of the great singers of the sixties.
Just a fantastic and talented singer never to be forgotten !!!!!
Really really great ladysinger of the 60s 70s Ray from Australia 🇦🇺 👌. XXxx XOXO
Tony Hatch. What a great talent. What great songs this man wrote. The orchestration is out of this 🌎
OH and by the way PETULA CLARK IS THE GREATEST FEMALE VOCALIST OF ALL TIME.
Oh I've loved her voice from the time I was a child. She is great and so talented. But for me the greatest voice I have ever heard belongs to The Queen herself. The Late and Vety Great Aretha Franklin. But Petula will always be one of my favorites.
@@ericwalker8775 I in can in no way agree with you what so ever.
IT IS PETULA CLARK ALL THE WAY FOR ME.
AND ALWAYS WILL BE.
@@user-hg2yz2vu9d Tony Hatch wrote her songs. He was to her what Quincy Jones was to Frank Sinatra. They complimented each other so well musically. I have no idea what you are talking about.
@@ericwalker8775ERIC I was just stating that in no way what so ever do I agree with you that Aretha Franklin is better than Petula Clark.
For me it has to be The Stand Out MEGA -STAR of the Sixties Petula Clark CBE
FOREVER
End of....
.
Still love her here in the Kawartha Lakes, Ontario
Really really great singer ray from Australia 🇦🇺.

Pet was a star on UK Radio during WW2....and still performs today.
Could never resist this one...Breathtaking and dramatic intro and backing arrangement from Tony Hatch. One of the better musical partnerships from that time Pet and Tony...Never tire of this one ..often given a spin when I can .
❤
And of course don't forget the provider of some incredible, outstanding and beyond brilliant lyrics by Jackie Trent.
Petula Clark,Tony Hatch and Jackie Trent:THE Greatest Trio ever to come out of The Sixties.
This wonderful extension this this song, very impressive.
Refreshed, Revived & Revamped - You've Given This Great Song A New Life
QQ....many thanks, my friend!!
The background music and the chord melody along with that voice....is just top Notch entertainment !
I THANK you for the treatment given to this song and Colour My World. Sign of the Times is one of my definite favorites from Pet. The song's arrangement, musicianship and vocal backup led by Tony Hatch,OBE- are in the top of the mid 60's pop world. Also if you segway to when it was introduced on the Ed Sullivan Show in 1966, with its impeccable production- confirms its long lasting popularity. I saw her belting it out in a Naples FL concert when she was in a short tour (Mar 2006) and my Wife and I were seating right in front of her performing. What a natural professional as we followed her career both in French and English. Thanks Pet for the memories and to Mosogotam for the well-worth revitalizing of it.
Another example of an extended version of one of Petula Clark's songs making it sound even better!
Many thanks to you, Gary!!!

Petula Clark was in the film ‘Medal for a General’ in 1944.

Pam....thanks so very much!!!
John... Another masterpiece!
A welcome reminder that Petula Clark was and is one wonderful vocalist. And the arrangement by Tony Hatch was just awesome. The trombone section was right on time, as was the trumpet section. Just saying.

As a long time subscriber.... I have always wanted to hear your treatment of this and Colour My World.... great work! Its appreciated!
Yes she was a real pet
If she has a daughter, we can only hope she sing like her mother?
Petula Clark has two Daughters and a Son.
Katherine and Barbara.
And Patrick.
Another great one! How about extending her Tony Hatch produced rendering of In Crowd? Just like Foggy Day in London Town this Tony Hatchified version of In crowd swings and her voice is perfect for it.
Tony Hatch composed so great british tv shows themes that anyone who grew up in 70s would recognise his name .Americans google the theme for tv show Crossroads
The BEST television series that Tony Hatch wrote the theme to as to be
The CHAMPIONS.
❤️💕
Meguta buenas noches
HOW do you do that? Several turntables and several vinyl albums? Excellent remix!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🎵🎶
John Lennon favorite female singer... petula kinda sexy too...lol
TERRR RIF FIC !
Bravo!! Be sure to send this amazing arrangement to Tony Hatch! He should hear your superior arrangement compared to his version. Doubling the intro and the instrumental break, adding a 2nd instrumental break, and lengthening the coda is pure genius and obviously beyond Hatch's ability as an arranger and producer at the time. (It's only a shame you weren't there in 1966 to show Hatch how to do it better!) Please re-work all her music -- as your superior versions are sure to outshine the originals. Perhaps your versions could even replace the old ones. Keep up the amazing work!
Next, please re-arrange George Martin's work with the Beatles -- all of those arrangements desperately need your attention. Thank you.
