That's how it always works. People, who are new in Marvel firstly hate Loki, and then start to understand and love him...
Fr
Then there’s me who always loved him 😂
Never hate him 😂 he’s a complicated person
he need to see the loki series right now
@@mateocarmona6020can’t wait for season 2
“Wait, is Loki good or bad?” Hahaha
That’s the description of Loki, god of mischief.
That's why I love Loki 💚💚
"Is Loki good or bad?"
"......yes."
Thanos gave Loki the sceptre with the mind stone. It's a possibility that Thanos used it on Loki before giving it to him.
@@davidhughmiller actually you are right, Loki was controlled by Thanos.
Get used to that feeling!
"only one of you can ascend the throne but both of you were born to be kings" is a significant and important line
We're still talking about Thor, right? Not the two Hefner channels??
Because I feel like they could both rule and the world would be just fine.
Like the Pevensies in Narnia 🦁
@@lzz9376 it's in reference to thor being born to the Asguardian throne and Loki was born as the prince of Jotunheim
@@Silver5kull I know 😉
@@Silver5kull it also means that while one will rule it doesn’t mean the other is any less worthy
Just a terrible way to raise kids tbh, no wonder they were confused
Alex: "do it on her face" 30 seconds later "Y'all relax, this is a family show" LMAO
🤣🤣🤣🤣
I am working on spreadsheets while watching this, I stopped in my tracks. Did he just say?... ok then.
It's always better to tell a kid they're adopted. If you "try to save them from the truth", it always backfires.
agreed
You're adopted
Or simply adopt from third world countries.
Huh-?@@LeperMessiah2
“What!? Is Loki good or bad? I’m confused!”

Yeah. Yes indeed. 🤣

Kat Dennings was freaking perfect for the "secondary" girl role. No one could've pulled it off like she did. So cool.
My wife still calls Mjolnir "Meow meow" just because of how finny it was to hear Kat say it in TWO films.
@@Russell_Crockettmeow meow? What meow meow?
"Is Loki good or bad?" ...i think even Loki is still figuring that out
Making a 2nd channel was probably the right call. Heard you talking about being unsure about it. Been with you a while now. For the silly humor and high energy. It's fun.
Super stoked you’re following on both channels!
Alex many of us are following you on both channels. You are one of the best and favorite reactors. BTW DC rules !!!

@@alexhefnerstvmovievault we here dude, we here 🤙
@@alexhefnerstvmovievault i am so hyped for u to react to Captain America next
Fun fact: Tom Hiddleston originally auditioned for the role of Thor. But I think he is absolutely perfect as Loki.
I hate how they cut off less than two minutes that would have completely changed Loki's character, because Loki never planned to get the throne to begin with, he just happened to fill Odin's role and it was given to him by Frigga, he didn't expect it at all, it was such a powerful scene.
it's also a very consistent thing. Odin can't properly express his love for his children but, Frigga can and always shows her love for her boys. always has faith in Loki and in turn no matter how far he falls he will always return that love.
They literally just kept taking away scenes about him
Loki is awesome, he has a pretty exciting character development over the Marvel Movies/Series. I wouldnt say he is bad, nor would I say he is good. He is something in between. He's simply the god of mischief. Manipulating, yes, but also kind hearted in his own way. Marvel really did a good job on this character compared to the origin Loki in the northern mythology.
Hey Alex! Great reaction, hopefully this can clear up some stuff:
Loki is the "God of Mischief" aka "the Trickster God". He can create illusions and is cunning, deceitful and somewhat narcissistic.
Thor and Loki are an example of the "quarreling brothers" archetype with similarities to the story of Cain and Abel - where one brother is favored and gets all the praise and the other brother is resentful and bitter and feels wronged and wants to seek revenge.
Marvel's "Thor-related" material mostly draw from norse mythology - most of the characters, places, even Thor's hammer are all from the old norse religion. Marvel changed some stuff of course, but lots are the same, including Loki always getting into trouble.
Can't wait for Captain America next!
I hope he sees this!! Best comment
Excellent comment! Here is another upvote for you. You boiled it down to the absolute basics and very easy to understand without writing a wall of text.
Once again Loki is NOT narcissistic, Odin however IS.
@@radicalreactions1633 on what planet do you think Loki isn’t narcissistic??
@@radicalreactions1633yes he is Lol... He wants to rule and control people, that's text book narcissism
Odin was telling the truth- they were both born to be kings, Thor of Asgard & Loki of Jotunheim.
One of the only truths the old Narc ever tells.
Your reaction of "Thor" reminded me of how underrated this movie is in my own point of view......
I guess it's time to start an own MCU movie rewatch marathon for myself. 😅🤘🏻
As a fan of Thor for more than 30 years this is near the top of my list of MCU movies. Completely biased but I'm a fan.
To answer the question about DC fans. Yes we do exist. I prefer DC, the comics, the animated movies, series and the characters. I just love superheroes in general, including Marvel.
Hoping DC finds its movie footing one day 🤞
Just to add: The DC Animated Universe (DCAU) is top notch and highly recommended. These are not kid shows. They are child appropriate shows. Both kids and adults can enjoy them.
DC comics are pretty good too
the only dc stuff i really like are the batman arkham games and young justice, and i used to be a huge fan of the arrowverse shows on the cw - arrow, the flash, legends of tomorrow, supergirl, etc. - i still love the early sesaons but the later seasons of all of those shows have gone downhill a bit which does lessened my love of the shows.
Odin's growl before the speech before he casts him out is a great piece of improv. Very powerful in that moment
"Wholesome moments at the end of superhero movies is what we love"
Infinity War is just for you... It ends with a literal wholesome smile
i understood that reference
Just a heads up, alot of the "newer" MCU films have 2 post credit scenes. Would be a good idea to maybe Google search in the future "how many post credit scenes does so and so movie have?"
At least one MCU movie has 3 ending credit scenes sneaked in as well as some Easter Eggs hidden in the credits themselves.
I fucking LOVE the character of Darcy. I've been on the #morekatdennings train since Thor released. The fact that she's finally been given a tad more to work with made me REALLY happy
“i never wanted the throne, i just wanted to be your equal.” - loki, first thor movie.
*Odin:* my heir. My first born
*Frigga:* 👀
To answer your question about what Heimdall said when he said no one has slip his gaze. It's because Heimdall can see and hear everything in the universe. So because someone slipped by him that interested and scared him
Is Loki good or bad? Well, depends on a point of view. Just watch and decide yourself
The answer is…. It’s complicated! 🤣💚💛🖤
Honestly you never really know. He kinda goes back and forth.
Starting a war. Lying to someone that their father is dead and it's their fault. Usurping the throne. Murder. Wanton destruction in a small town of people who never did anything to you.
Is it really difficult to determine whether these things are good or bad?
Loki is a master of mischief and magic.
Hes like a jester/trickster. He's not entirely bad, but he's not good good either. He just looks out for himself basically
Yes!! Your reaction to Captain America is exciting for me, can’t wait to watch it
it really pisses me off when people hate on loki in the beginning but then i remember i also hated him before and that people watching this the first time dont know the future😭😭😭😭
also i really love that little talk between loki and odin and the acting tom put on, it was amazing we could feel the anger, confusion and sadness that loki felt, the betrayal and that is the best. also i love tom's face expressions, really on point.
Lmao I liked him from the beginning even tho i thought he was full villain
Thor was just annoying :D
Loki is such a great character.. You can understand him. Also i think there is no pure good and bad in here.. That's an unrealistic view because people are difficult.. They have different feelings and thinking.. Conflict in themselves.
I was dying when you said Loki looked like a grasshopper. That's exactly what I said when I first saw him. As far as the whole Marvel vs DC thing, I'd have to say I lean a little more towards Marvel, but I do like some DC properties. I'm mostly a Batman fan, and Peacemaker is a fantastic show.
‘Wait is Loki good or bad, I’m confused’. Exactly, dude. 😁
Even Loki doesn't know
You're the only reaction channel I'm subscribed to. Glad you have a second one!
I deal with emotional issues so having someone so real and positive to feed off of is a major help to keeping everything in check.
Good luck and keep up the great work!
Where Thor is the god of thunder, Loki is the trickster god. Thor's powers are lightning based, where Loki's powers are, for the most part, sorcery based.
One thing that the movie doesn't really get into is the fact that Odin genuinely treated both Loki and Thor different, despite never telling them why. You're right that if Odin had told Loki at that point that he _was_ different, Loki would have been... well, unhappy ^^;
But of Odin had never pretended like Loki was his own flesh and blood, if he had explained from the beginning that he was adopted and that him not being eligible for the throne of Asgard was nothing to do with his abilities or worth as a person.. I dunno. I think fathers are forgiven too easily in the MCU; If you claim to love your children equally, yet treats them different, that's just shitty parenting.
Thank you, someone who gets it. Odin's a malignant narcissist that's why he set it up from the beginning that they be rivals, he also made sure that Jotenheim never had another King so that was a bonus.
I love your enthusiasm for the MCU so far! Hold on tight since it's going to get better!
Highly recommend you check out the DC animated features like “Flashpoint Paradox” and “Justice League War” they’re very well done with high stake story lines
Some people say there is zero chemistry between Thor and Jane? I for one enjoy Thor and it’s one of my favorite movies.
Great editing again! I'm enjoying sharing these movies with you again.
I don't think Thor would care if he was being called Princess nowadays....GROWTH!
Watch a lot of reaction channels but this dude is my jam and I love his LP reactions keep up the great work
Gotta love the immediate and well placed respect for Hawkeye.
'Well, guess it's not the worst thing that could happen.'
*Everybody in the entire universe*: You take that back!
You’re absolutely ridiculous and I’m totally here for it! Love it!
Oh it's all about daddy issues. It's Shakespeare my good man. When I saw Hawkeye in this I freaked out. Great movie. Sadly underappreciated. And... wicked intro man.
It’s so satisfying watching you feeling this for the first time
This journey is incredible!! Watching you see these movies for the first time makes it feel like we are seeing them for the first time again. Truly awesome feeling, and don't worry - everything about characters will start to sink in with the more movies you watch! Can't wait for Captain America reaction (and hopefully not 2 weeks later 😛)
Another good thing to know - is that Thor's hammer (named Mjölnir and pronounced Me-yoln-yeer) weighs as much as a star (438,500,000,000,000,000,000,208,904,792,104 lbs) to someone who isn't worthy to hold it, but for Thor (or someone who is worthy) it weighs right around 42 lbs. Which to that you would think "well wouldn't loki have been crushed even if it was gently placed on his chest?" and you would be correct, but you have to remember this is fiction, so the rules don't apply :P
Perhaps that's comic-book accurate, but it's not MCU-accurate. There are plenty of times when the hammer is just sitting on something (or someone) and not breaking it (or them). It's a spell; nobody unworthy CAN lift the hammer, despite it only weighing 42lbs or whatever. It doesn't mean the hammer weighs as much as a star (again, in the MCU; I can't speak to the comics).
In the myths, Thor has a special belt and boots and gloves designed to hold the hammer, the whole unworthyness thing of the MCU was completely made up by marvel. Really adds something to the films.
p.s. hope everyone enjoys the after credits from avengers.
Loki is a frost giant but his powers mimic an Asgardian including super strength, resilience and speed. He also has magic powers of illusion and sometimes, telepathy which he learned from Frega his adopted mother.
Excited congrats on the new channel.
Gonna definitely enjoy going on this MCU journey with you bro! Please watch in release order and please include the shows when they supposed to be watched it all connects
Exactly! Great advice regarding the Shows, they are important to continuity and add context.
Dude your costume designer for the into is a genius lol the use of a towel and robe? Inspired! Love the content dude lol
Congrats on the new channel. Loki is the God of mischief and cunning, so illusions are his thing (that's how he comes and goes from Thor's cell).
btw the 8 legged horse odin rode in on when he came to help them with frost giants is the offspring of loki....
he turned himself into a female horse so he could get the finest stallion in all of asgard to mate with him, he then gave birth to Sleipnir 8 legged horse, described as the best horse among gods and humans...loki went back to his male form and he was back chasing females lol, he later gifted the horse to Odin
loki had some weird children lmao like the giant wolf and world serpent
Interesting. I read a different version of this myth.
First, that intro was epic! Second, you will love Loki in the end! & last but not least, after the wait for Loki, absolutely loved the reaction! After waiting 2 weeks for it the best way to describe it is, “ANOTHER!!!” 😉☕️
I’m really enjoying your marvel reactions and movie reactions in general
And a little skit before the video?! Love the quality and effort your trying to put into these videos, I wasn’t subscribed to your second channel but I am now
How dare you hit me with that emotional nostalgia in the intro
Laughed hard at the intro, nice work
The director, Kenneth Branagh, is a distinguished Shakespearean actor. This movie is an update of Shakespeare’s King Lear.
Alex: "Was this before or after GoT"
Me: This....this is Norse Mythology.....
Cannot wait for Captain America reaction!!!
And the memes coming out with that motion you made are going to start coming in 3...2..lol. Much love, Alex!!
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Awesome intro! 😁
(*Edit also, you mentioned the bridge looks like Rainbow Road from Mario Kart, that’s exactly what they said in the Honest Trailer.)
Love Honest Trailers and Pitch Meeting!!
Haven’t seen the reaction yet, but that intro made my entire week 😭. So, thanks for that, dude! ALSO, really digging those Rockets pants 🔥
Thanks brother!!
I'm from Brazil and i love watching your reactions, keep it up with MCU, it's an amazing journey. What they did with the Avengers and the Infinity Saga it's a work of like, 10, 11 years for the fans and all people who love this characters and stories.
This intro LMAO 😂
Loved the opening skit! Been waiting forever for this. And every marvel movie reaction you do is worth the wait...at least for me. I love DC more than marvel. However marvel movies are more enjoyable.
The intro was well worth the extra subscription 👌🏻
Thor came out in 2011 the same year as Game of Thrones, but even then the movie is based on Norse mythology that is over 15 centuries old so if anything the White Walkers are based on the legends of Frost Giants :D
The rainbow bridge is called Bifrost And according to legends it connects Ásgard (the land of the gods) with Midgard (the land of men) but here in the movie it can be used to travel anywhere among the Nine Realms
Loki stole the show 100%
🖤💚
MCU Loki's power...
Loki is a frost-giant prince (which gives him shape-shift abilities, strength, stamina, durability, and long life) and he was taught magic by his adopted mother Freya (Asgardian witch-craft). He LOVES to use illusions of himself.
10/10 for that cinematic opening.
One of my papers I wrote in college was a research paper called DC vs Marvel. I did my own research over several months and DC was victorious. However, it was about comics, not movies.
that's so cool! great story
Been watching you for years man, would honestly be a dream to work with you if you ever see this.
Glad you do what you do and always enjoy watching your videos 📹
Allright, but that intro part kind of killed me xD
Really love the new style for the Videos and the new channel, keep it up man^^
THE KING HAS RETURNED
I love this film. One of the last, great Marvel films. I'm a DC guy, though. I've been reading comics since the late 70's (I'm old) DC has always been my jam. Especially in the 80's. The Dark Knight Returns, Watchmen, Batman: Year One, Justice League of America and International and the Legion of Superheroes. Just the best stuff!
Let’s goooo! Second channel! Love these Marvel reactions
I love this movie it's still my favorite Thor movie
it's amazing
That music in the beginning made me emotional even tho it was just you having some silly fun 😂😂
Loki is one of the more complex and interesting characters in the MCU.
His character arc takes some completely unexpected twists and turns.
Thor's character development also takes some really fascinating directions.
Nah loki is extremely overrated.
Seen noone mention this yet, but i would give many things for an Odin stand alone film, with Sir A, Hopkins.
Not just because Odin itself is a badass character (even Thanos fears him) in the comics, but Hopkins acting, still gives me chills.
Regarding the beginning with breakin to Odin's vault....The security was agiant automation called The DESTROYER. It eliminates theives/intruders very efficiently. 👊 great reaction
all these reaction videos from a year ago are keeping me going
That 'Opening' had me *ROLLING!!!! Bravo!*
🙂
Loki toes the line between good and evil. Pragmatic is probably the best word.
In terms of live action, Marvel wins. In terms of EVERYTHING else, DC wins. I'm more of a DC fan overall.
insane. can't wait next reaction :)
Loved the intro
Just saw you update video and I'm subscribed Alex. WOOHOO, 2 channels oh yeah. Lol.
As somebody who grew up with norse and greek stories, Loki is among my top 5 characters in the MCU!
Watched this earlier, and ironically the new trailer for Thor IV has JUST dropped - so I came back to say what a coincidence that was :')
Btw, that was your best intro by FAR Alex XD
Thank you so much! 🤣🤣
It's weird going back and seeing this again. Both Chris and Tom look so much younger in this movie.
That intro gave me an out-of-movie experience. Mind blown!
Bro that intro was🔥🔥
Already ready for next Monday lol
It's hilarious coming to the MCU series after watching your Interstellar reaction, I love how this confused you more than Interstellar xD
there you go! thanks for watching both
24:31 "come on! do it on her face! man that's good! relax it's a family show!" .... different images come to mind when you're looking away from the screen
I don't think we ever REALLY figure out exactly what Loki can do because throughout the movies he's shown with powers of illusion mostly. But in the Loki show it shows that he has telekinesis as well. There's also supposed to be enchantment (getting into people's head, making them see what you want them to see and things like that) but the writer's never really let Loki use his powers to their full potential (probably because it would make him see too powerful an opponent.) They mostly use him as the butt of people's jokes in the future. And after the second Thor movie, the writers kind of make him a one dimensional comedic villain. And Thor actually does become the modern dumb hero in the third Thor movie (or at least in my opinion.)
We saw his telekinesis in the movies, the 2nd Thor film. We see the mind manipulation spell from him too, the 3rd Thor movie. They make Loki a joke in HIS OWN SHOW so what's changed?
im probably one of the few people who as soon as i heard loki speak immediately was a fan. most ppl start of hating him but i was sold from the start!
🤣😂 that opening intro
Your intro is epic. Just wait until you see Thor: Ragnarok. It's one of the best Marvel films to date.
Loki is the god of mischief and his character gets better and better as u go through the mcu. He's one of my favorite characters. Also it's the rainbow Bridge so pretty apropos
