Back when I was a child all the kids were buzzing about the Grave Digger and Bigfoot powerwheels, and here I was with a Snakebite powerwheel. I remember after we'd all watch the TV program you'd hear the kids in the neighborhood out playing with their powerwheels. We'd do our own monster truck shows out in what we called "The Sandpit" which was a lot that ended up not getting a house put on it so it sat vacant for years, we sure did make great use of it xD
Gary Lee has a similar accent to Dave Despain, but it's so much stronger. I wonder if guys like him sound like a broadcaster in just normal conversation.
I remember as a youngster seeing this form of monster truck racing. To me it was no holds barred straight up racing. Monster Jam is fun, but to me it just doesnt seem to have the flair of this.
The difference is points and prize money. This was real racing for points and money. I was into mud racing back then and raced at a lot of the same races these guys were at, the mud guys just didn't get any tv time. Back then we mingled around the pits with all these guys. Today they have pit partys just so fans can get near the drivers, we didn't have to do that back in the day lol.
Probably because now it’s over produced, these Penda series were straight up racing and it was not over produced 1990 through parts of 2000 maybe up to 2006 were good times for monster trucks but now it’s not satisfying as it used to be
Pretty cool seeing Tomcat (Hulk) back in the day racing. Still a good race truck to this day. Looks a little different nowadays with the Jet engine in the back
This is so much better than today's Monster Jam...This was straight up drag racing, with giant off road trucks. Today's Monster Trucks are something I'm no where near interested in. All it is anymore is basically a stunt expo...They're expected to wreck, do backflips, wheelstands, snap wheels off...kids stuff. I'm sure if I was like 8 I'd be into it, but I'm almost 30😂 Stuff just isn't the same anymore.
Wished that they had showed a lil bit more qualifying highlights cause Team Bigfoot actually had 4 trucks at this event. They had Bigfoot 8 as Snakebite, Bigfoot 10, Bigfoot 11 as Wildfoot and they also had Bigfoot 9 there with the 1st version of the Power Wheels Bigfoot body on it. I could only imagine what the competitors were thinking when Bigfoot rolled in with 4 trucks.

There is something different about the Monster Jam racing now. In the 2002-2003 seasons It was pretty intense though

@@EPstroker did you know Chad Miller? He lived a few miles from me. Good guy.
Jim Kramer be like "Man, looks just like Bigfoot 8 under here."
I was a Bigfoot guy through and through, but not gonna lie, when Bearfoot came out with the 94 Dodge Ram truck, it looked fantastic.
the bigfoot crew came and helped... lol
What great 'sportsmanship'
Did they really try to hide that there were three Bigfoot trucks there🤣
That's dan rute as rick rattler
Runte*
yup

Looks like he would have done better if it didn't die. The weather may be? But he definitely restarts it to go off track. Wonder when it quit.

Not sure if it made the show. I would have been surprised if it didn't, especially when that truck was Snakebite the previous year.
i just noticed that was dan runte
2:10 that truck is the biggest piece of shit
You mean Rick rattler aka Dan Runte can’t fake the accent
Lol
Neither did any of the different Colt Cobra's.
It's cute for them to pretend Snake Bite isn't a Bigfoot truck. Poor man's kayfabe.
