Sonora did offer separate diamond and sapphire styli, to play Edison and Pathé records. The reproduction from the steel needle is pretty good; although I would not recommend repeated plays.
SONORA was a company that made chimes, bells, music boxes as well as phoñographs. It's tone arm .made of wood and light weight sound box would track at about 30-40 grams less than a fifth of most machine. It could play vertical and lateral records including Edison and Pathe as shown here. The firm lasted into early 5ps.
Sounds good for a diamond Disk. I have a Sonora tabletop but haven't used it yet; the spring is broken. I'll fix it some day soon and try it out with my Diamond Disks.

I enjoyed this. It looks like a rough diamond disc, so nothing to cry over. My dirty is pleasure is playing diamond discs on off brand machines.
