Yeah this monitor is fucking BS. GSync should only add 200-300USD to the price, not 2x-3x it. Why get this over a 1440p 144Hz ultrawide? They output way more pixels/sec even though slightly lower Hz. This monitor should be AT LEAST 240Hz to be equal. Also, ultrawides are overpriced as hell. You can get way better 4K monitors with GSync/FreeSync, etc for anywhere from 300-600USD. The Hz nowhere makes up for the price.

yea if you go to the LG site for this monitor youll see why the price.... kind of... its not a TN its actually an IPS with a 144hz default refresh rate which is amazing but still.... shoulda been 1440p for this price even if it is an IPS

I just got this one and its amazing! this is my first ultra wide and first 144hz monitor and g-sync monitor... Its 1080p still but the panel is much nicer than my old one... I went from a 200$ monitor to a 900$ one (I got it for 750)
i have intel pentium g4560 and gtx 1050ti and i can ensure you that it is enough in some games, yeah ofcourse in some triple A games it drops below but its mostly around 60
The most important thing for me is to be comfortable with the material, it doesn't matter about buying the most expensive monitor, or the most expensive set up, as long as you can play every game on it.

So, LG has two of the EXACT same look monitors: The LG 34UC89G ($1000 one) And the LG 34UC79G-B ($600 one) There is really no difference between the two monitors except for one detail. The one in this video has G-Sync, and the other has Free Sync, and maybe some other details but otherwise: same monitor, but for a lot more money.
For that cost I'd want 3440x1440 or bust. I'm running that rez now but I'd like the refresh upgrade buuut I'll take the higher rez over the frames. I don't get why they're going back in time rather than forward. We've had higher rez solutions for years and we have a brand new display port standard available. at that size those pixels at 1080p is pretty darn terrible.

I have a HP pavilion 32 inch display and absolutely love it and it has such a great picture and I don't lose any frames. although if I knew this monitor was available I might of got it instead
The CSGO AWP doesn't work like that... it does in flying scoutsman where you have low gravity with 100% accuracy but that's an ssg 08 anyways. With the AWP when you noscope if you use commands to pull up an actual crosshair that shows the spread, you're better off with a shotgun for first shot accuracy
The thing is that the Ultrawide contest is only really available to people who have the ability to make those quality videos. Nobody who could actually use the gaming setup can win because they are unable to produce any video. All past times that Ultrawide festival has happened supports this 100%.

True on that medium settings and smoother experience. But why not have 1440p ultrawide for crisp image and RPG games, and lower the resolution to 1080 ultrawide for smoother competitive gameplay

How's the backlight bleed? Since it's an IPS panel, backlight bleed is a problem with monitors that use that panel.
