- Опубліковано 9 лют 2025
- We spent weeks looking for this legendary lost Gold mine until we found what looks to be the rich high-grade Gold ore that is red oxidized hematite just like in the fabled story. We will run the samples to see how much Gold is in them and give you guys the results on the next video.

Dig your travels.
Sunday mornings with Jeff.
Sunday school was never better.
I love when you get excited and show your enthusiasm in the funiest ways. It's youtube gold!
I totally agree. "It's so juicy" when he says, and laughs. He is so cool.
Like a kid in a toy store! 😂
When I was a young man, my grandparents lived in Golden Valley Arizona my grandpa would take me around searching for minerals and old mines. What really got me into it was when he took me to Oatman, and you got to experience the history in person anyway, enough rambling. My grandfather would take me to a place called Christmas tree pass just outside Laughlin, and we would hike around for hours and found quite a few mines out there. Have you ever been out there to look around. Thanks for the uploads it reminds me of my time with my grandpa and all the fun we had together.
Thats priceless! What a great way to spend time with your grandpa!😊
yes we have been there many times and its a fun place to explore
@Askjeffwilliams thanks for the answer love the channel
Man it don’t get better than that Jeff, watching you do your thing.great video and yeah I smashed that like button so hard I cracked my screen protector dude
Not a gold bug, or hunter, or geologist (though very interested), but watch because your enthusiasm and willingness to exploit available tools are the secret ingredients to success in most fields. Constant learning is the backstop. I used to think after I got out of college I would be done learning, but could not have been more wrong. Indeed, that’s when it just starts.

@@semoneg2826 I feel you, Semone.
@@Askjeffwilliamsone of the great joys in life is continuous learning! Thank you for helping me learn! Your enthusiasm makes learning fun ❤
Jeff, you are such a lovely teacher. I had a question: was the type of rocks in the area diorite andesite or tuff andesite? But it seemed secondary that the silicas were separated from the rock. I have two metal mines where I test for gold with my own innovative method. that I show the gold as a nugget on the surface of the stone, based on my experience, any stone that has high copper oxide has a lot of gold. Of course, I tested it in tuff andesite rocks. I enjoy your work. And I would like to invite you to see my rich mine where I got gold in kiloback grams in some veins. Good luck Jeff
Sunday morning with, The One, The Only JEFF WILLIAMS!
Entertainment, and knowledge all in the same place!
Thanks, Jeff!
you betcha my brother
Your enthusiasm is infectious! Thank you Jeff! ♥
Mr Jeff with all of the enthusiasm always gets me pumped to get back out there !
It's nice looking at Jeff's facial expressions that looks just like a kid in a candy store.
Jeff us old people can’t keep up with your ever growing obsession and enthusiasm for the golden material. Thank u and Lila again.
Wish Slim had that much energy 😂
thanks Tina

Yes sunday morning Jeff Williams videos. Look at that red stuff the mother load. Be safe brother 🙏. You need to get some backers and open a new mine.
thanks my brother ... I know ...right
Nice-looking material there Jeff would like to see the results of your sampling thanks for the video Jeff
Jeff, good to see you out, and happy fun.
Man! I like the enthusiasm Jeff of a young man who knows what he's looking at! Dean( Soul) Toronto
A GPS position for each sample would be nice.
Your energy is contagious brother
Jeff i love you bro your excitement and knowledge really is amazing .....im just waiting for you to do the gold dance....You know what im going to say lets Gooo!!!!!
It's so funny you find the vein, then go to higrading it on the left side 😂
Extremely nice looking mineralization in that area. Very promising!
OMG JEFF
im becoming a gold miner today dahmnitall !!
Still gotta work to make some MOVIN MONEY to relocate
IVE GOT A FEVER ALL OF A SUDDEN
🎉 Congratulations! Thanks for sharing this exciting discovery! You're awesome, love all the history too! Great find❤
So here's a question for Jeff Williams, how do you decide wether or not a mine needs to be timbered? Seems like a lot of these old mines are just unsupported tunnels.
To me mines are scary..you never know when the rocks could shift
we will make a vid on that
Very juice spot up there even me i understand the richness of this area 😊❤
Gold fever is in your eyes!!!! When we see that we know youre onto something!!!!! I would imagine you already put a claim on it. Thankyou so very much jeff and lila...great video!!! You keep us up to date and informed! Makes me want to go out there! But i live a long way away in another state.😢 I have to learn how to use google earth. Im an old fart at 67 and an old female but i would LOVE to go out there and find some shiney!!!!! I watch flour gold wizzards too an jason is pretty cool. But not as much geology. He knows where to find it tho, even in winter! I mostly look in creeks for the area im in. I just wish i could locate some really good spots like you guys do. Id be out there as much as i can! But now everything is covered in snow and ice. Thing you gotta watch for out here where im at are not only snakes, but wolves, mountainlions, and black and grizzly bears as well. Too dangerous to go out alone. Watching your videos sure gives me the gold fever! And i learn something new every time! Thankyou again! You guys sure are very special people! 😊 see ya at the next video and hopefully one of these days i can make it out on one of your trips that you provide for members. So co'mon, lets goooooo!!!!! 😊😊
than ks , really appreciate that and sounds like you got the fever.....keep at it and you will find that Shiney
I have learned a lot from watching your videos and then going into the field and applying it, Thanks for doing what you do.
its always our pleasure
Sure a lot of green vegetation there. That wind is brutal. It's here in Wisconsin today. Great Video Jeff 🤠⛏️ Thank you for sharing with us. Hope you have a great day 🙏
thanks and you to
I found a outcropping lens of mica the other day. some of the pieces were almost as clear as glass.
beautiful stuff huh
@Askjeffwilliams it really is. I was amazed at how clear it was. My pockets get full fast when im out there lol
BTW thank you as you share your knowledge and prospectors dont do that but you do and that tells me you love exploring and showing others ....How to and hold nothjing back....Your the Doc of Rock my friend....
thanks ...appreciate that
Yes ,please get on with it ! 🤣 it takes a few billy goat genes to get up those loose gravel stacks safely . Be safe ! happy prospecting !
Another awesome video ! Really appreciate you pointing out geologic features. Some of them easy to miss, but you make obvious ! Really good stuff my Brother prospector !! Smashed that LIKE button too !! Let's find that wagon wheel. Yeehaw !! 🤠⛏️⚒️👍
thanks my brother ....... always our pleasure ....... thanks and now your talking
Absolutely love ur shows another great one Jeff
That was so exciting dam it wishing I was carrying some paydirt out of there I need a mule team thank you xoxo love the show
Nice….brand new video this morning 👌
Awesome Jeff!💥💨👖🎇👍keep it UP! More gold please !💫🏆✨️
you betcha my brother
Nice video, I wished I had the thought to have prospecting equipment on me back when I use to chase lions with the hounds plenty of great geology i stepped over in good gold bearing country and a few mine shafts out in the middle of nowhere where you might fall in if you weren't paying attention
"It's all ours Blondie!" as the Morriconne music plays at 8:07. Thx Jeff. Good stuff!
Jeff is my hero 😂love this guy … high energy.. knowledgeable to the highest level!!! Keep it going Jeff
thanks
Great Video Jeff love when you get excited love to see what you get in gold
Jeff, you give energy. Really few people like you can mine in the hills and smile like that. Good job. Jeff, I look for oxide zones in the mines I inspect. And usually the free gold in these veins is abundant from 100 to 500 ppm. Jeff pyrite in the mine after desulfurization, I have taken up to 2000 ppm gold. Of course, I consider you my teacher.
Always the best instruction for me to understand, thank you Jeff
Holy Cow 💥💥💥💥💥🤟
Jeff can you make a video on a topic that nobody else is doing and it's important. Gallium and Gold Alagam. Safer then Mercury because Gallium is not toxic. It might keep some people safe. Your the man Jeff. Good Luck, I just know you will find the Mother Load!
Glad to see you still going! I get that adventerous excitement everytime I watch
Amazing content Jeff. What I wouldn't do to spend a couple of days exploring your part of the world under your instruction.
Damn Jeff that vein is very crumbly, it crumbles right into your gold pan holy cow no dynamite even needed
exactly
When you are sampling exposed hard rock, do you have to remove a layer of oxidized rock that might be baren of precision metals by natural leaching? I thought I heard you say once that the surface in hard rock can be leached out. Awesome video Jeff, I just know you will find The Mother Load!
yes , we like to dig into the outcrop to expose fresh vein material to sample
Awesome!! So much cool prospecting to do!!
Love your videos. I work in a quartz mine in Western NC where we mine quartz for semiconductors and stuff. I bet there is good stuff up in here?
Wow cool story Jeff although I wish we could have seen how the sampling came out
Good morning Mr Williams..great video
good morning and thanks
What a great story! Thanks for bringing us along, Jeff! Excellent work my friend!
nice .feeling the blood pumpin, good work
Love your videos your just as crazy as ever be safe Jeff.
Nice one Jeff, I forgot how excited you get when you find the vanes.
I thoroughly enjoy all your videos. They make my day. I love the brief history and geology lessons mixed with your fun attitude. Among my favorites are all your drift mine videos. Thanks Jeff.
thanks
Quartz veins are very common around Auburn CA. There are creeks with softball size white quartz rocks lining the sides. Hard to walk on too.
After a couple failures, I finally succeeded at processing Jason's MBMM high grade ore! From the 5.06 pounds of ore I received, I recovered a 2.015 gram gold button, which equates to 25.6 troy ounces/short ton. This exceeded Jason's sample run, resulting in 23.0 troy ounces/short ton. Nevertheless, he's got one heck of a mine up in that mountain!
But he beat me on the low grade, "run of the mine" ore. Though, he processed a 1000 pound sample, where as, I only had a 26.5 pound bag to work from, so luck of the draw, whether you get a good or bad bag. Those results were: Jason was recovering a rate of 2.2 troy ounces/short ton. (and a magnificent 33.64 gram button!) I managed to recover at a measly rate of 0.2 troy ounces/short ton. (with just an itty bitty 0.095 gram bead, for all that work 😅)
😊
we should hand out a few bags of our Super rich ore from our Hard rock mine that had visible Gold running all through it ...the stuff of legends.
@@Askjeffwilliams Oooh, don't you be pullin' on a grown man's leg like that Jeff!
Hell, I bet you will find the Lost Dutchman Mine next. Thanks for all the great videos! You rock! 🪨🤘
Fingers crossed!
Love how jef is excited about these rocks calling them all sort of sweet names 😅....the excitment is contagious
Your video popped up Jeff wish you the best be careful and make sure you carry a phone while exploring like a garmin or spot phone or something ,Its been a while had two strokes last year my exploring has become a little harder.........
thanks and glad you are doing better
@@Askjeffwilliams Thanks Jeff be safe
I would like to see a gold pan video with all the gold pans. Let's see what gold pan works the best. If it's a Garrett then I guess we can all see. What does each pan catch and what does each pan miss. A Gold Pan Off! Make a great video. Take care Jeff.
I'm impressed how the weathering has turned those veins to dust
I C AU….
Yeeeee Haaaaa.
That’s what I am Talking about Jeff..
Parts of the lost Wagon Wheel 🛞 for sure 👍
In your last video you showed the Huge Gold Specimens.. just like the ones they found in Western Australia lately..
Say hi to Lila and the guys.
Cheers Famo59 👍⛏️
TONY !!!!!! thats what we were thinking too ..... those are definitely keepers for specimens huh hahhahahaha will do and say hi to Wendy for us Cheers my brother
@@Askjeffwilliams 👍
How did you know, " You're my favorite.'?....🤪🤣🤣🤣
lucky guess
What a great adventure , thanks Jeff .
That first 60 ft outcrop looked incredible...
I know...right
What kind of GPS do you use, a handheld, or just a smartphone? Good piece of gear for prospecting I would think. I suspect that some viewers subject to motion sickness might be a wee bit affected by the camera work in this video. It looks like you're pretty excited. One thing I would be thinking, is that with all that nice-looking geology, I don't see much evidence of prospecting. To me, that would be whispering, "there's better rock nearby."
we like the Garmin
@@AskjeffwilliamsThat's the brand I've used for a long time. I prefer the larger models - big hands.
Here is one for you if you like Lost Mines. In 1935 Gold Miners were happy to be employed and mining along a Quartz Vein producing 2 ounces per ton hit a dead end, a wall of nothing but rock. The Earth had faulted one way and another and they never found the vein again. Vidette Gold Mine
Thanks again
Man, Jeff, I tell you what that is something else up there on that mountain. Would give anything to be there with you.
Amazing! Thank you Mr. Jeff Williams for sharing. Greetings from Madang, Papua New Guinea!
Always a joy to watch your videos Jeff! You're a nutcase and that's awesome! All the best!
Can't wait to see where this is going to lead!
I can certainly see why that area would get you excited. I've never heard anyone else put a Z in fissure except a Canadian.
yep and all the major mining companies are based out of there
I'm eagerly waiting for the next video so I can see the shiny stuff from your samples of the "wagon wheel" outcroppings
Jeff needs a back pack core drill!
I know...right
Hi again Jeff,. That's what the mine is that I've been working on lately... Is a fissure fault.. maybe about 4 or so feet wide. 3 veins running thru it. The deeper I go the richer and more color its getting. Only problem is is the sulfides but I think once I'm thru the sulfide zone then I'll find what I'm looking for. LOTS of silver in this mine tho. Lol. It's a mine near the Moses.
thats a good area and should ee better results deeper
@@Askjeffwilliams hi again Jeff,. Lots of diggings and shallow shafts around here but I don't think they went deep enough in any of them to get anything worthwhile. Most of them are on my claims and I think later on I'll be tackling those too. Especially the Aura and the Lookout Mines. The Lookout mine has all that deep reddish stuff at the very bottom of the shaft but I need to rope down there and check everything out down there. From what I can see there looks to be drifts down at the bottom and I'm thinking the shaft is maybe 40 or so feet. That's the only one out here that I've found that has all that reddish rock.
On of my dreams is to prospect in gold country. Man. You people that live in mineralized zones are so blessed. I live in Delaware. Literally all blue gneiss, mica, and rock quartz. Nothing else. Maybe some serpentine. But little else. I search imported gravels and garden stone for once a year minimal finds. These videos get my blood pumping. One day… one day.
What a great spot to hike. Love what you do, Jeff.
That’s a good looking spot definitely want to see the gold the comes out of there 👍
Now all you need is a crusher and a small sluice with a water pump and a recirculating system 😁😎
The hill at the right hand screen at 8:14 is full of Gold.
Wish I had the chance to explore an old gold district but they aren’t so common in northern Indiana.
The way it all just crumbled mmmmmm. Im feeling it.
ThanX! Jeff - loved it - as usual!
9:37 that's an excellent spot to sample ⛏️
YEPPER🎉 SUNDAY MORNING WITH BROTHER JEFF ON THE BIG SCREEN. IT DIESNT GET ANY BETTER. THXS BUD AWSUM 🙏❤️👍🌵☀️🤠
Good morning Jeff, I’m smashing it now!
How about some emeralds in rockhouse basin, anza borrego desert? Bought Kennetrek boots, jumped off rock, landed on sidewinder!
Jeff you’ve got to show the samples on the one video I’m excited to see them now that material looked awesome
One question why didn’t you use a jewellers loop to see if there was free mill gold like you normally would
next video my brother ....too excited ...we did later
That’s a great spot! Hey, wait! I can see my house from there!!! 😁
Bring in the dumptrucks.
Dear Jeff, if you’re in lost mine finding mode, come to southern AZ and help us find the Mine with the Iron Door and La Purísima Concepción, though the latter would require you to slum it with silver (big chunks of native silver).
thanks for the invite and we have heard of that one
This dude is the Steve Erwin of rocks. Runs in and gets all excited and says a bunch of words nobody understands. Just like Steve.
aye Crikey mate
We need to see the shiny at the end of your videos!!! 😊💯
KInda reminds me of the El Pasos, where Mr. Keene has his outings, with all the red staining.
I sure appreciate your stuff! Super interesting!
