I can tell you my memories of a haunted house that used to be in Reynoldsburg OH back in the mid-1970s. My eldest brother, his wife (who had married him when he was stationed in Korea about a year or so earlier), my little sister (who was maybe four years old at the time) and myself (probably 14). It wasn't terribly scary, at least for me and my brother (he was also a Vietnam vet). My little sister, as one would expect, was scared, so my brother carried her. Getting to the stairs to the second floor, his wife started freaking out and refused to go to the second floor.
So my brother was stuck in the unenviable position of carrying not only my little sister, but ALSO his terrified wife up the stairs. Happy Hallowe'en, indeed :)
Hearing him say lake of the ozarks in Kansas hurt my soul a little
Always loved this story
Reminds me of the first diary of a wimpy kid book when Greg and Rowley try to host a haunted house but it fails miserably lol
