In India most singers are trained in classical singing hence I will tell an open secret. The North has invented the form HINDUSTAN MUSIC Gharana where as the south singers are trained in CARNATIC MUSIC Gharana which was invented in the south. I said this coz as you will explore in future you will find the singing techniques and intricacies very different. Though I listen from both parts the language you were hearing till date was Hindi but the song you just heard is in Tamil language which is the oldest language on this earth. And the one whom you saw is an Oscar winning music composer. He worked in both the industries so hope you will hear his magical compositions more in future.
