Unfortunately I couldn't find much about a demake for FF9. There is one project on itch.io that is made in RPG Maker, I tried it out but it's more of a proof of concept. It's just the beginning area and it uses a mix of sprites from different games as well as the pre-rendered backgrounds from FF9 (just run through a crust/pixel filter). I'm not really interested in making a video about it but if you wanna play it, here's the link: devirtualized.itch.io/final-fantasy-ix-demake (Since it's RPG Maker, it works on both Windows and Mac)
